IELTS Writing Task 2 question
The best way to provide enough homes in large cities is to build tall apartment blocks.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often argued that constructing tall buildings and apartments will be a benificial way to provide sufficient homes in big cities. I totally agree with this statement to a large extinct because it is easy method to utilise sufficient space and build many homes at a certain place and can be able to find a new society.
The primary reason for my position is that it is an essential idea to construct a tall buildings. This is because it provides a large shelter to many families at a sufficient place, this will be helpful to conserve space and can be utilized for many other purposes. For instance, purchasing a open land will cost higher than owning a constructued house in a large buliding, also saves a lot of money which can be used in future rather than spending on a individual house.
A further reason to agree with the statement is that living in a large buildings will provide a large security. Moreover, living in a big community will eventually improve the lifestyle and we will be living in a modern society. Also neighbours will be helpful in any serious or difficult scenarios.
