Student answer (Band 4.5)
It is argued by many that the great way to offering homes in big cities is to build skyscraper building. I completely argree with this of many reasons such as require less space and money to construction, which will discuss in the upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with the first reason, tall apartment do not need eoungh space because it can build in less spece and make many floor on it with many modern factilies such as parking area parkin which are very useful factilies for individuals's on daily basic. For example, in many developed cities tall apartment are provided by the landlord to indviduals and many families live there scerely over there and enjoy modern oppotunities. As a result, tall apartment are very benficial for individuals.Furthemore, these apartment blocks are cheapest as campere building house. Because people can buy a well falt within in a less budget with advence fectures such as lifting which make the activities smooth of individuals. For instance, these blocks are manufctured with morden technology which makes people life easy. As a result, it is best way to provide homes in large cites.
In addication to this, masses can fillfill thier desires of living in a large city by buying these falts because there are many families which are not financial stable, however they ant a apartment as a dream house in developed city. Therefore, tall apartant blocks are very very beneficial for people.
In cunclusion, I believe that skycraper building has many benefits such as require less spece and money of manufacturing and individual's living. So it should construction in large amount in big cites.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The candidate addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position supporting tall apartment blocks. The ideas presented, such as requiring less space and lower construction costs, are relevant to the topic. However, the development of these ideas is limited and repetitive. For instance, the notion that tall buildings save space is reiterated across multiple sentences without being extended with deeper analysis or concrete real-world statistics. The conclusion largely restates points rather than synthesizing them. While the main stance is clear throughout the essay, the support remains somewhat generalized and under-developed, placing the response securely within the Band 5 descriptors where ideas are limited and partially supported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay demonstrates some organizational structure with paragraph breaks and basic cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'For example', and 'In conclusion'. However, overall progression is hindered by repetitive phrasing and weak logical links. Paragraphing is attempted, but the central body paragraph is overly dense and contains multiple ideas jumbled together without clear internal sequencing. Referencing is frequently unclear, as seen in phrases like 'which are very useful factilies for individuals's on daily basic' where the pronoun antecedent is muddled. Cohesive devices are often inaccurate or mechanical, leading to an overall choppy feel that fits the Band 5 descriptor for inadequate and repetitive cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with frequent word-choice errors that impede fluent reading. Examples include 'skyscraper building' instead of 'skyscrapers', 'eoungh space' for 'enough space', and 'factilies' for 'facilities'. The student attempts less common lexical items such as 'manufactured with morden technology' and 'financial stable', but these attempts are marred by severe spelling and morphological errors. While the general meaning can be deciphered, the noticeable errors and limited range restrict the score to Band 4, as the vocabulary is basic and repetitive, frequently straining the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The response features a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences joined by basic conjunctions. Attempts at complex sentences are consistently faulty, characterized by missing subjects, incorrect verb forms, and severe punctuation errors. Examples include 'tall apartment do not need eoungh space because it can build in less spece and make many floor on it' and 'which will discuss in the upcoming paragraphs'. Errors are extremely frequent throughout the text, often distorting meaning and causing significant difficulty for the reader. This performance aligns with the Band 4 descriptor where grammatical errors are frequent and pervasive.
