Student answer (Band 4.5)
The best way to provide homes in the highly populated cities is to build may appartments in the societies because the appartment contain large numbers of home there is large need of homes in our societies for poor peoples i extremely agreed with this statement and suggest to build large numer of appartment for better living lifestyles In our modern age there are very less homes for peoples especially in the Pakistan there are many homes for rich but poor peoples living their on the roads and have not enough homes to live the one way to better thier lifestyles is to making big appartment for such kind of peoples in our country and give them as a rent for their living. The thing that in my mind that build appartments and give one room for family.for example, i notice that many of the space is occupied by one home,if their is an appartment it occupies less space in this way their is no traffic and clean enviornment.due to less space in our society there are many traffic problems and cause the road accidents that can cause the serious incidents and injurios accidents in our society in such a way.this is the main reason that can be not noticed by our govrnment so our government have to take actions in such kind .At last i suggest that in my opinion government should stop such cases and bulid appartment instead of making the homes that occupies less space and not cause any issues in the societies

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position ('i extremely agreed with this statement') and supporting it with reasons related to housing shortages and urban space. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive. While the writer mentions relevant concepts such as living conditions for poor people and traffic reduction, these points are underdeveloped and lack fully elaborated examples. The reference to Pakistan is introduced abruptly, and the overall argumentation remains somewhat simplistic, aligning closely with Band 5 descriptors where ideas are present but under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The essay lacks proper paragraphing, as nearly the entire text is presented as a single massive block of writing, which severely hinders logical flow and visual progression. Cohesive devices are minimal, repetitive, or inaccurate, with run-on sentences joined by weak connectors like 'and' or 'so'. For example, sentences such as 'due to less space in our society there are many traffic problems and cause the road accidents' lack clear referencing and transition markers. The overall arrangement is difficult to follow, placing this aspect of the writing at a Band 4 level.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently relying on simple terms like 'homes', 'appartment', and 'people'. There are frequent spelling errors, such as 'appartments', 'peoples', 'thier', 'enviornment', 'injurios', 'govrnment', and 'bulid'. Less common lexical items are attempted with significant inaccuracy, and word choice is often awkward or unidiomatic, such as 'rich but poor peoples living their on the roads'. These errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, fitting the Band 4 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The student relies heavily on simple sentences and struggles to construct accurate complex structures. There is a complete absence of standard punctuation, leading to massive run-on sentences without capitalisation at the start of new thoughts or periods at ends of sentences. Grammatical errors are pervasive throughout the response, including subject-verb agreement issues ('the appartment contain', 'poor peoples living') and tense inconsistencies. These frequent errors severely distort meaning and strain the reader, placing the writing firmly in Band 4.
