Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that best way to provide good supply of homes in metropolitican cities is to build high skyline apartment blocks. I completely agree with this view because of limited land and affordbility.
One important reason why I agree is that is limited land . This is because every individual migrate to big cityes for employment but land alwayes be at same size . For example, Major chunk of population of Uttar Predesh and Bihar are now satelled in ncr reigen becouse of corparate MNC . As a result, population of NCR reigen is jump highly but due to limited land builders have no option otherthan apartment or socity system.
Another significant reason is that affordbility . Cost or acomadetion is signifently reduse if we compare it to a individual saprate houses . For instance, Land cost 3 caror in big city for 3 bedroom house now if that land make 3 flour building of residential appartment it take just 1 caror from 3 diffrent famaly and every one get it own 3 bedroom flour for live . Consequently, it decrease the cost of accmodation.
Therefore, I believe that in major cityes tall apartment blocks is best for person who want its own house at reasnable price.
In conclusion, I completely agree that one of the excilent methord provide enough homes in large cities is to build tall apartment blocks. This is mainly because of managing the alarge population into a limited land and significently decrease in the cost of indivdual recidency.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position agreeing that tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide homes in large cities. The student provides two main supporting ideas: limited land availability due to mass migration for employment, and improved housing affordability compared to separate houses. While the arguments are relevant and extended with examples such as migration to the NCR region and a financial comparison of building costs, the development remains somewhat simplistic and relies on broad generalisations. Furthermore, there are minor omissions in fully exploring counter-perspectives, but the main task requirements are adequately met. This performance aligns best with the Band 6 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear stance established in the introduction and reinforced in the conclusion. Paragraphing is utilised to separate distinct ideas, such as land scarcity and affordability. However, the progression of ideas is occasionally disrupted by mechanical and faulty cohesive devices. For instance, the transition 'Another significant reason is that affordbility' is grammatically incomplete, and cohesive referencing is sometimes repetitive or imprecise. Paragraph transitions lack sophistication, leading to a choppy flow. These features place the response firmly at Band 5.5, rounding to Band 6 for general coherence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student attempts a range of vocabulary relevant to urban housing, such as 'metropolitan cities', 'employment', and 'accommodation'. However, there is a high frequency of spelling and word-choice errors, including 'metropolitican', 'affordbility', 'acomadetion', 'signifently', 'saprate', 'csujes' (consequently), and 'methord'. The use of numerical and currency terms ('3 caror', '3 flour') further detracts from precision. While the vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey the central arguments, the numerous lexical errors cause frequent distraction for the reader, fitting the Band 5 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating conditional-like structures and relative clauses. However, grammatical control is weak, with frequent errors in articles, prepositions, subject-verb agreement, and punctuation throughout the text (e.g., 'every individual migrate', 'land alwayes be at same size', 'get it own 3 bedroom flour for live'). Punctuation spacing issues and capitalization errors are also prevalent. Although these errors do not completely impede communication because the overall meaning can be deduced, their high frequency prevents the writing from reaching a higher band level. This performance corresponds to a Band 5.
