Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the contemperary era, there is a huge arguments over the issue is that the best to provide enough homes in large cities is to build tall apartment blocks. In the following paragraph, i would shed light on both aspects with my opinion.
I see eye to eye with the central idea for numerous reasons. First and foremost, people think that nowdays most of the individuals are moving in cities and there is not sufficient space for everyone. They had to face so much trouble while finding a place to live. Moreover, people move to large urban area for their job or for better studies. As in countryside there are no job oppurtunities and the education also not great in rural area. Furthermore, by builting tall buildings in large towns could make peoples life more at ease. They could bring their family with them if they had enough space.
Adding further few more points to the same, people have bring their child in large metropolis due some reasons. To substaintiate my statement, here is an epitone of education and better couching. Lastly, builting big apartments in urban area ould bring better look and it can also bring economy for instance by renting apartments.
At the flip side of the the coin, there are some critics who are against it. Firstly, they think that builting huge buildings could affect enviornment. apart from it, it could also be dangerous during naturat disasters such as floods, thunders and etc.Lastly, sometimes due to some accidents people could fall from tall buildings.
All in all i personaly think that buildongs should be built safe with great metarial so tat accidents should be avoided.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The student addresses the task by stating a clear position of agreement with the prompt. Relevant ideas are introduced, such as the shortage of urban space, rural-urban migration for jobs and education, and the environmental or safety concerns raised by critics. However, the development of these ideas is frequently superficial and repetitive, particularly in the body paragraphs where points like education and jobs are restated without deeper extension. While the prompt is addressed and a position is maintained, the lack of well-supported elaboration keeps this performance at Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response shows some basic structural organisation, attempting an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, overall progression is limited by awkward paragraphing and repetitive sequencing. Cohesive devices are frequently mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'Adding further few more points to the same' and 'At the flip side of the the coin'. Referencing and logical links between sentences are occasionally unclear, leading to a choppy flow that requires the reader to work harder to follow the argument. These features align closely with a Band 5.0 descriptor.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and repetitive, with noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Examples of errors include 'contemperary', 'nowdays', 'oppurtunities', 'builting', 'peoples life', 'couching', 'epitone', 'enviornment', and 'naturat'. While the student attempts less common items like 'metropolis', 'substantiate', and 'epitome', these are marred by severe spelling and collocation inaccuracies. The lexical range is minimally adequate for the task, fitting the Band 4.5 to 5.0 range, comfortably rounded to 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are persistent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('the education also not great'), preposition errors, missing articles, and punctuation mistakes. For instance, sentences like 'i would shed light on both aspects with my opinion' and 'buildongs should be built safe with great metarial so tat accidents should be avoided' contain multiple surface-level errors that disrupt readability. The frequency of these errors places the grammar firmly at a Band 5.0 level.
