Student answer (Band 5.0)
now a days housing has become major problem for cities due to growing popuon some people argue that the best ways to provide enough in large cities is to build tall apartment block rather than buying your own land and building house on that land
In my POV i strongly stand with opinion of building tall apartment block as it requires less land and can provide more accomodation than a personal land would ever be able provide
I have few reasons to support my answer the 1 first and major reason is the fear of growing population if everyone starts buying their own land there will no place to stay for upcoming genrations i myself live in 2bhk apartment with my family because its feels very safe to stay here i live in gated security it is secured 24*7 if my brother is playing outside in the society we have nothing to fear as people outside are looking for them whereas in your own home u have to supervise your kid 24*7 u have fear of burglary when u are outside of your house
2nd reason is that if your occupying less land for your stay we are providing more land to our goverment or industries they can use that land for development of our nation or world it can helps us to cater the problem of growing population of our world
in conclusion although there are few benefits of living in your own home and on your land that it provides you peace away from huz-buzz of the city your home also gives you sense of belongingness it gives feels of owning something but for me living in the apartment block is the best thing to do right now
overall every one have their own suggestions.thankyou for giving attention to my suggestion

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The candidate addresses all parts of the prompt by stating a clear position in favour of tall apartment blocks and providing supporting reasons, such as land preservation and security. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and relies heavily on personal anecdotes rather than broader socio-economic arguments. While the response presents a clear stance throughout, the reasoning remains simplistic in places, such as the discussion on safety within a gated community. This level of development aligns best with the Band 6 descriptors, as the main parts are addressed but remain under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The text shows a basic logical progression overall, but paragraphing and cohesion are poorly managed. The response lacks punctuation, capitalisation, and standard discourse markers, which makes the flow mechanical and sometimes difficult to follow. Sentences often run into one another without clear boundaries, and referencing is repetitive. While the overall arrangement attempts to introduce, support, and conclude the topic, the absence of proper formatting and cohesive devices places this performance firmly at Band 5.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for communicating basic ideas, such as housing, population, and security. However, the range is quite limited and repetitive. There are numerous spelling errors throughout the text, including 'popuon' for population, 'accomodation' for accommodation, and 'genrations' for generations. The candidate attempts some less common vocabulary like 'gated security' and 'huz-buzz', but inaccurate word choice and spelling mistakes constrain the response, preventing it from reaching a higher band. This corresponds to a Band 5 performance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The writing relies on a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar and punctuation is weak. The total absence of punctuation (full stops, commas, and capital letters) throughout the entire essay is a major structural flaw. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as missing articles ('has become major problem'), subject-verb agreement issues ('every one have their own suggestions'), and run-on sentences. Because these errors and the lack of punctuation frequently cause strain for the reader, the grammar performance reflects Band 4.
