Student answer (Band 4.5)

I strongly agreed with the statement of tall buildings with appartments because they occupied less space as compared to the home socities.

Tall building appartments are perfectly groomed and well furnished made by the strong agencies or private builders. These are specifically designed with premium or average flats and could be choosed according to someone's budget. The standards of these flats meets well with needs.

These appartment buidings are also occupied with shopping malls and different offices for example emporium mall placed in a tall appartment bearing building. its very easy for the appartment residents to approach anything on their one go.

the appartments are less expensive than a fully furnished home.

On the other hand we can say that hoses other than appartments can build according to someones will and need while appartments manufactured according to the builders theme.

Houses can carry more space, time to build and efforts in terms of building it n their own wish. In cities the place is going to be decreased with the passage of time due to high rate of migration towards cities, and it could be difficult for urban officials to manage such a large poppulation and space occupied by the residents.

In conclusion i must say appartment blocks is a best way to provide enough homes in large cities and could be bought easily and frequently. while its also helpfull for less than 5 family members.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide homes in large cities. The writer takes a clear position in the introduction ('I strongly agreed with the statement') and presents supporting arguments, such as space efficiency and integrated facilities like shopping malls, as well as acknowledging counter-arguments regarding houses. However, the ideas remain somewhat limited and under-developed, lacking deep elaboration. Furthermore, the response falls short of the minimum word count requirement, containing only 235 words instead of the required 250, which negatively impacts the overall task achievement and prevents the score from reaching Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay displays some organization with a clear attempt at an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the overall progression is weakened by abrupt transitions and a lack of clear cohesive devices between sentences. For instance, the transition from discussing apartment features to disadvantages ('On the other hand we can say...') is overly simplistic. Paragraphing is attempted, but sentences are often disjointed, and referencing is occasionally unclear (e.g., 'such a large poppulation and space occupied by the residents'). Cohesion is mechanical rather than fluid, aligning best with a Band 5 descriptor.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for communicating basic ideas, but it is limited and contains numerous spelling and word-choice errors. Examples of errors include 'appartments' (apartments), 'choosed' (chosen), 'buidings' (buildings), 'hoses' (houses), 'n their own wish' (on their own wish), 'poppulation' (population), and 'helpfull' (helpful). While the writer attempts some less common terms like 'migration' and 'urban officials', the high frequency of spelling mistakes and awkward collocations such as 'home socities' restricts the score to Band 4.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The text contains a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but grammatical accuracy is quite low throughout. There are frequent errors in tense, agreement, and prepositions, such as 'I strongly agreed' (instead of agree), 'The standards of these flats meets' (instead of meet), 'place is going to be decreased' (instead of space is decreasing), and 'appartment blocks is a best way' (subject-verb agreement error). Punctuation is also problematic, with missing capital letters at the beginning of sentences (e.g., 'the appartments are less expensive'). These persistent errors frequently strain the reader.
