Student answer (Band 5.0)
While some agree that the building tall housing facilities is best way to live in a large municipals because of it`s convienience, I disagree to the statement because of personal preferences of having a dream house in such a way that everyone gets benefit from it.
On the one hand, many people prefer to live in an apartment due to its ready made construction. The apartment buildings are well facilitate with all the necessary appliances. So, the one will not find any hassel to buy a new equipments due to their busy life in a city area. The apartment blocks are also well-guarded and there is less chance of any security threat. For example, Many housing companies open their booking earlier by giving them with the early bird prizes and several packages that attract the people in first hand.
On the other hand, Many people prefer to have their own land in a private area where they can make a house of their choice and design. People donot want their hard earned income to live in a building where they donot fell like home. I agree to this because in the name of adequate houses, one`s willingness should not be compromised. The state should arrange the housing protocol to the private house owner to have minimum land to their name so that everyone gets fair justice.
In conclusion, The optimum method to adjust large group in a cities is by letting the citizens have their own house with effective planning. Also the individuals living in the apartment with it`s compatibility being adressed.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against building tall apartment blocks as the best solution for urban housing, supporting this with arguments regarding personal preferences and private ownership. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and the reasoning in places is unclear, particularly in the conclusion where the argument becomes muddled. The student attempts to present arguments on both sides, discussing the convenience of apartments before asserting the preference for private land. While all parts of the task are addressed, the depth of extension is constrained by the brevity and occasional lack of clarity in the examples provided, such as the vague reference to housing companies and early bird prizes. This places the response comfortably at Band 5.5, showing sufficient engagement to meet the core demands of the task while falling short of fully developed, well-supported argumentation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay is divided into four distinct paragraphs including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, which provides a basic structural framework. Logical connectors such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' are employed to signpost the contrasting views. However, the overall progression is disrupted by mechanical and sometimes confusing transitions, particularly within the conclusion. Referencing is also faulty at times, for instance, the phrase 'I agree to this because in the name of adequate houses' lacks a clear antecedent for 'this'. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs feels strained due to abrupt shifts in ideas. While the overall arrangement is coherent enough to follow the writer's general train of thought, the flawed referencing and mechanical cohesive devices prevent it from reaching a higher band, justifying a score of 5.5.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the student to express basic ideas about housing and urban living. However, there is a reliance on simple and repetitive language alongside several noticeable word-choice and spelling errors, such as 'municipals' instead of 'municipalities', 'convienience', 'hassel', and 'fell' instead of 'feel'. Less common lexical items are attempted, such as 'adequate houses' and 'housing protocol', but these are often used unnaturally or with inaccurate collocation. Although the errors do not severely impede communication, they are frequent enough to restrict the vocabulary score. The range remains limited, meaning the lexical profile aligns best with the Band 5.5 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional structures. However, grammatical accuracy is weak throughout the text, featuring frequent errors such as missing articles ('is best way'), incorrect prepositions ('disagree to the statement'), and problems with pluralization ('a new equipments'). Punctuation and apostrophe usage are also problematic, as seen in 'it`s convienience' and 'donot'. While simple sentences are generally handled with some success, attempts at more complex structures frequently result in faulty syntax and grammatical slips that occasionally cause the reader some difficulty. Consequently, the performance reflects the characteristics of a Band 5.0, where limited structural control and frequent errors persist.
