Student answer (Band 5.5)
This is considered that the building with number of enough floors in big areas is the ideal way to provide place to live for immigrants. I largely agree with the given notion that the tall apartment blocks are only the way to give homes to visitors and it uses less area but gives more benefits to the individuals.
To commence with the disagreement, the people who live at tall apartment building blocks, they face disturbance and congestion. To exemplify, thousands of people live at one place so that they can not feel concentration as there are hundreds of distraction. They are not able to focus on their work or study because all apartments are connected, each and every sound will transmit to another apartment. As a result, people may mentally disturb who enjoy silence by their surrounding.
Shifting towards view of agreement, the tall building blocks provide enough space to live thousands of people at one place. In other words, in modern cities, civil engineers mostly engage towards high building, it provides proper development to an area as it takes only some space of city. If a land of 20 acres, where a vertical apartment builds in 10 acres and another space will utilize for further development such as build a new factory or company. For instance, in Chandigarh, vertical flats assists to assemble the population and enough space for greenery and new companies. Thus, tall apartments help in the development of area.
Furthermore, the tall building apartments are also effective for the nature. To explicate this, deforestation takes place for providing the place for horizontal homes because every family needs its own space to build house and it needs extra area, in contrast, less space will use for tall building and adequate area for greenery as well, which will help to maintain greenery with modern world. Moreover, this provides not only economically benefits but also socially as it gives opportunity to experience different culture at one building this is due to different cultures are lived in a single tall apartment building.
In conclusion, although tall apartments leads to congestion and disturbance for people who are living there; yet this will beneficial for the development of area and effective for nature. It will also boost economy of that place and increase social circle.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position and discussing both sides of the argument, including the drawbacks of congestion and the benefits of space-saving and economic growth. The ideas are generally relevant and extended with examples, such as the mention of Chandigarh. However, the position tends to be slightly contradictory in places, as the student opens by stating that tall apartment blocks are 'only the way to give homes' and then later concedes that they lead to congestion, without fully balancing the argument to a logical synthesis until the conclusion. Nevertheless, the main tenets of the task are adequately covered, earning a solid Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay is arranged coherently with a recognizable introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate different points, such as the counter-argument, space-saving benefits, and environmental factors. However, cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or awkwardly used, as seen in phrases like 'To commence with the disagreement' and 'Shifting towards view of agreement.' Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, and some sentences lack smooth transitional flow, leading to a Band 6.0 performance under coherence and cohesion descriptors.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student displays an adequate vocabulary range to communicate ideas about urban development, using terms like 'immigrants,' 'civil engineers,' 'deforestation,' and 'economy.' However, there are frequent inappropriate word choices and collocations, such as 'building with number of enough floors,' 'mentally disturb,' and 'economically benefits.' Spelling and word-formation errors, such as 'assists to assemble' instead of 'accommodate' and 'civil engineers mostly engage towards,' indicate a lack of precision. Because these errors do not severely impede overall communication, the lexical resource fits the Band 5.5 criteria.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating conditional structures ('If a land of 20 acres, where...') and relative clauses. However, grammatical accuracy is weak throughout the text, featuring frequent errors such as subject-verb agreement issues ('tall apartment building blocks, they face'), tense inconsistencies ('tall apartments leads'), and awkward phrasing ('this is due to different cultures are lived'). Punctuation and structural errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, placing this response firmly at a Band 5.0 for grammar.
