Student answer (Band 5.0)

The best way to provide resident in large cities is to develop the large apartment blocks. This will give the enough space for a large group of people. The development of apartment blocks will solve many issues like water and sanitation issues, parking place hurdles and most important the space for living for laege group of people.

In my opinion it is a good way to accommodate a large number of people by developing the apartment blocks instead of a single story home.

The reasons to develop apartment blocks in large cities are as follow :

Large cities have large number of people to get residence and partment blocks give them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response attempts to address the prompt regarding whether building tall apartment blocks is the best way to provide homes in large cities. You present a clear position of agreement, mentioning benefits such as space-saving, improved sanitation, and parking solutions. However, your ideas are underdeveloped and lack depth. You offer a personal example of staying at Bahira Town, which is relevant, but the elaboration remains superficial. Furthermore, a crucial penalty must be applied here because the text is 237 words long, failing to meet the minimum requirement of 250 words. Consequently, your ideas cannot be fully developed to higher band standards, placing your score at Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

Your essay demonstrates some basic organisation, utilizing an introduction, body paragraphs, and a concluding stance. However, there is no clear overall progression of ideas, and paragraphing is rather erratic, featuring a bulleted-style listing ("The reasons to develop apartment blocks in large cities are as follow :"). Cohesive devices are frequently inadequate, repetitive, or used incorrectly, as seen with phrases like "Instead the 2 acres in not enough space" or "added it beauty to more." Referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical links between sentences are missing or mechanical. This level of organisation and cohesion aligns best with Band 5.0 descriptors.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

Your lexical range is limited and minimally adequate for the task. You rely heavily on basic, repetitive vocabulary, frequently misusing words or collocations—for instance, using "resident" instead of "residences" or "housing", "parking place hurdles", and spelling errors such as "laege", "partment", "bis cities", and "satsy". While your meaning can generally be inferred, noticeable errors in word choice and spelling cause some difficulty for the reader. There are few attempts at less common vocabulary, and those that are attempted often contain inaccuracies. These characteristics firmly place your lexical performance at Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

Your response displays a very limited range of grammatical structures. Most sentences are simple or contain basic coordination, and your attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, such as "The Bahira Town residential apartment building is the one of the best example that give the residents to mkre that 20 thousads prople covering the arw of about 2 acres." There are frequent errors in basic grammar, subject-verb agreement, articles, and prepositions throughout the text. These errors can cause difficulty and strain for the reader, matching the standard criteria for a Band 4.0 score in grammatical range and accuracy.
