Student answer (Band 4.5)
It is often argued that build large apartment blocks is a best way to create a lot of homes in the bigest cities. While some people believe that this way dosn't a good solution. I complitely agree with this statment. This essay will discuss the main reasons of my opinion, I particulary the tall apartment blocks can reduce the poverty and familial problems, also it can create a cultured generation .
One of the main reasons why I agree with this statement is that this apartments can reduce problems this meanly because in the small houses all people who live there you can find a lot of issues in there daily live, while the building of tall apartment can improve solutions and reduce this problems ,For example in ALGERIA there is lot of homes without insurance and they suffer espicially on the crowded cites like the capital "algeries" so the government solve this problems with introducing a tall apartment.
Another important reason is that the highest buildings can participate on fixing situation in differnts sorts of education, this means that creating to apartment is useful way to help engerious and serious people espicially who had a skills and make the people more happier and relaxed For instance in MAROCO, there is a lot of sportive had a useful skills and the problems they don't have a mean like a houses so creating homes can help them to show there skills and this also can spread the cooperation.
In conclusion I personally agree because this way can improve the situation of society. Overall, the great thing to provide enough houses in the bigest cities is to build tall apartment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The student attempts to address the prompt by expressing a clear position in favour of building tall apartment blocks, mentioning reasons such as reducing poverty, familial problems, and education issues. However, the development of ideas is limited and often confused. For example, the connection between tall buildings and improving education or helping 'sportive' people in Morocco is unclear and underdeveloped. The arguments tend to overgeneralise and lack logical support. While the student does address the task, the reasoning is difficult to follow at times due to vague explanations and tangential arguments. Consequently, the performance aligns most closely with Band 5.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay is divided into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing some basic organisational structure. However, there is no clear overall progression of ideas, and transitions between sentences are frequently abrupt or confusing. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or inaccurately, such as the overuse of comma splices and repetitive phrase structures like 'One of the main reasons why I agree with this statement is that...' and 'Another important reason is that...'. Referencing is also faulty, making it hard to track the intended meaning across sentences. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion is weak. This warrants a Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
The vocabulary range is very limited and basic, with frequent word-choice and spelling errors that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'bigest', 'dosn't', 'complitely', 'statment', 'particulary', 'meanly', and 'engerious'. The student attempts some less common vocabulary items such as 'cooperation' and 'government', but misuse of terms is common (e.g., 'sportive had a useful skills'). The frequent errors in spelling and word formation strain the reader and reflect a Band 4 level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The grammatical structures used are predominantly simple sentences or attempted complex sentences that are heavily flawed and ungrammatical. There are frequent errors in tense, subject-verb agreement, and clause structure. For instance, sentences like 'this meanly because in the small houses all people who live there you can find a lot of issues' demonstrate very poor control of syntax. Punctuation is also problematic, with widespread comma splices and missing periods. Due to the high frequency of grammatical errors that regularly obscure meaning, the performance falls into Band 4.
