Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this statement, user is asking is it the best way to provide enouigh homes in large cities is to build tall apartment blocks? In my opinion, it is a good way to provide enough homes, because everyone will get it own home in the apartment and will live freely and independently.

Some of the people agrees with this statement, because they think that this decision will give them their own sweet home in a large and developed city and people can lice each other and can also help them in difficult time also participate in their happiness and sadness.

On the other hand, some people disagrees with this decision, because they think that their privacy will be disturbed and also they like to lives in silenced area. They says that living in apartment block is like a traffic of alot people. They just want to live in a peaceful society, just minding their own business.

For Example, a town in a city where only few people brought their homes and living their with peace, minding their own business, didn't disturbing anyone.

The people who agrees with the decision lives like a society, for example an apartment block having 5 floors and 10 homes in it, like 2 home in every floor. Those people live with the kindness and hapiness, they participate in their happiness and sadness.

In my opinion, having a home in apartment block is good rather then living in a silent and dead socity, this will help you to meet with new peoples and coordinate with them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt regarding whether tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide homes in large cities. The student states their position early on and maintains it, supporting it with simple arguments about community and independence. However, the ideas are quite basic, repetitive, and lack robust elaboration or sophisticated examples. The discussion of opposing views is somewhat simplistic, focusing on privacy and noise. Overall, the task is addressed, but the development of ideas aligns closely with the Band 5 descriptors, as the concepts remain limited and under-developed throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay displays a basic structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. There is some organization, but the overall progression of ideas feels disjointed and repetitive. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or repetitively, such as the constant use of 'for example' and 'on the other hand' in a mechanical fashion. Referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen with pronouns like 'them' and 'it' where antecedents are vague. Paragraphing is attempted, but paragraphs are fragmented and lack internal cohesion, placing this response firmly at Band 5.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive, featuring frequent errors in word choice and collocation such as 'enouigh', 'lice' instead of 'live', and 'silent and dead socity'. The student attempts some broader topics related vocabulary like 'independence', 'privacy', and 'community', but the limited range and noticeable errors in spelling and morphology cause some difficulty for the reader and restrict the score to a Band 4.5 or 5.0. Looking at the criteria, it fits best at Band 5 due to the minimally adequate range despite frequent lexical errors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty, leading to ungrammatical constructions such as 'In this statement, user is asking is it the best way to provide enouigh homes...'. There are numerous grammatical errors involving verb tenses, subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Some of the people agrees'), and pluralization (e.g., 'new peoples'). While communication is generally maintained despite these errors, the high frequency of inaccurate grammar places this submission within the Band 5 category.
