Student answer (Band 4.5)
It is often argued that that to providing the enough homes in large cities is to build tlal apartment block, because population is increasing day by day if there is advantage their is disadvantages as well but i think their is a more advantages of the building a apartment block.
The significant impact of building a tall apparment is to utilized the smaller space , for my experience its also convient for people to live in an apparment because they donot have to handled all thing by their own like water tankers, electrical issues bcause there is a huge numbers of community people who solve these issues , wherease its more suitable to communicate with other people because they are living in same appartment because in big cities the city life is very busy people donot have time interect with other people, in addition there will be a smaller space so its will be easy to clean because most people who lived in apparment coming from smaller cities or low income family they can also affort apparment as compared to an appartment, and also peolpe come here just for doing their jobs, in that espect they donot have much time.
Therefore the negative espect is building a tall appartment is usually difficult to managed like wise when they build new they are so clean and after some decades they need maintenance which I think big cities never provide so this is problemative situation. For instance If family living in an seperate house they have to faced their only home issues an solved at their convenience but as campared to appartment whole apparment building peolple have to suffer.
Nevertheless if these problem would solved then i think advantages could outweigh the disadvantages in building tall appartment in big cities will be effecient.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing an opinion that building tall apartment blocks has more advantages than disadvantages, which satisfies the basic requirement of the task. However, the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. While the writer attempts to provide reasons such as space utilisation, community support, and affordability, these points are not fully extended or supported with specific, robust examples. The position is stated in the introduction, but the reasoning throughout the body paragraphs tends to wander without a clear line of argumentation. The conclusion reiterates the stance but is brief. Overall, the response meets the criteria for Band 5, as it addresses the task partially and contains under-developed ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The organisation of the text suffers from structural weaknesses, most notably the excessive use of very long, run-on sentences containing multiple clauses linked loosely by conjunctions like 'and', 'because', and 'wherease'. Paragraphing is attempted, with distinct sections for the introduction, body points, and conclusion; however, the internal progression within the second paragraph is difficult to follow due to the lack of appropriate full stops and cohesive signposts. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as pronoun ambiguity with 'they' and 'it'. Cohesive devices are either repetitive or inaccurate. Therefore, the response aligns best with Band 4 in terms of logical organisation and overall coherence.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
The student demonstrates a limited range of vocabulary with frequent errors in word formation, spelling, and word choice that occasionally impede communication. Examples include spelling errors like 'tlal' for tall, 'apparment' for apartment, 'convient' for convenient, 'wherease' whereas, 'interect' interact, 'espect' aspect, 'managed' manage, and 'problemative' problematic. Basic vocabulary is heavily relied upon, and attempts to use less common items result in awkward phrasing and unnatural collocations, such as 'community people' or 'home issues'. This lexical control and range place the response firmly at Band 4.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
Grammatically, the response is heavily constrained by basic sentence structures and pervasive errors. The vast majority of the text consists of long, poorly punctuated run-on sentences lacking appropriate subordination and coordination. There are frequent grammatical errors involving verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, and missing articles, such as 'that to providing the enough homes', 'there is advantage their is disadvantages', 'if family living in an seperate house', and 'whole apparment building peolple have to suffer'. Complex structures are attempted but are almost always faulty. These frequent errors cause significant difficulty for the reader, corresponding to a Band 4 descriptor.
