Student answer (Band 4.0)
some peopel argue that in urban areas provide enough homes and to built tall apartments blocks for migrated people. while i agree with this view.
first and foremost, Big cities are overcrowded around the world today. mainly people moved there from small towns and rural areas. they came in big cities and buy properties and planners cuts towns in urban areas. and removed greenary big parks, as result pollution and properties rates other related problems are rising. particularly, city residents faced difficulties. such as, promenant example in Lahore pakistan, record 2017 to 2025, developers cut towns and result property rates rising and record pollution, damaging the quality of life for citizen.
on the second side of this investigation, Planners and goverment must work together, such as goverment should charge high taxes on properties, this intense pressure force to planners to built tall tower, apartmental building, rather than cut towns which keep save environment and properties rates and highly beneficial for mitrated people to buy affordable properties in urban areas.
Consequent, overcrowded create problems in urban areas, as planners cuts towns and damage cities quality of purpose, in my opinion, partmental building can make affordable for everyone and great for citizen to control pollution and property rates. and keep save green lands particulary, public parks.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response attempts to address the prompt regarding whether building tall apartment blocks is the best way to provide housing in large cities, and a basic position is stated. However, the ideas are underdeveloped and the arguments lack clear elaboration. Crucially, the response fails the minimum length requirement, containing only 214 words instead of the required 250 words, which significantly impacts task completion. While the writer touches on population influx, pollution, and government intervention, the expression is frequently convoluted, making it difficult to fully grasp the intended arguments. Consequently, the response aligns best with a Band 4.0 descriptor for Task Achievement due to under-length and limited idea development.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The text is divided into paragraphs, which shows an attempt at structural organisation. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by poor sentence construction and misuse of cohesive devices. Transitional phrases such as 'first and foremost', 'on the second side of this investigation', and 'Consequent' are used mechanically or incorrectly (e.g., 'Consequent' instead of 'Consequently'). Referencing and pronoun usage are often unclear, leaving the reader to guess the connections between ideas. Overall, the structural arrangement is faulty and lacks clear overall progression, which places this criterion firmly at Band 4.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is basic, repetitive, and severely limited. The student frequently misuses words or employs incorrect word forms, such as 'migrated people' instead of 'migrants', 'greenary' instead of 'greenery', and 'partmental building' instead of 'apartment buildings'. There are also frequent spelling errors throughout the text (e.g., 'peopel', 'built' instead of 'build', 'mitrated'). These lexical limitations and errors often strain the reader's understanding and impede communication, reflecting the descriptors for a Band 4.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
Grammatical control is weak, with a very limited range of sentence structures attempted, most of which are faulty. The text contains numerous basic errors in tense, agreement, and sentence boundaries; for instance, 'while i agree with this view' is an incomplete dependent clause punctuated as a sentence. Run-on sentences and fragments are common, such as 'this intense pressure force to planners to built tall tower...'. Punctuation and capitalization are also widely neglected. Because errors are extremely frequent and frequently distort meaning, the grammar corresponds to a Band 4.0.
