Student answer (Band 4.5)

The standard method to provide a number of homes in biggest cities is to stand tall apartments blocks.

In my view of point and I am completely agreed to this statement. One Of the main reason is that the world's population increasing rapidly. According to satastics of the World's Population Department the current number shows devastating conditions. So it is best way to provide a shelter to a number of peoples. Many socities and developers build their towns according to same measures because they thought that they covered a huge numbers of peoples. Build large apartment blocks it is not a new development but it is an essential requirement to meet the following standard.

On the other way, the developing nations of the world adopted this system for so many years ago like USA, China, and European Union nations. So basically it is world wide adopted system. But Unfortunately, the poor and undeveloped countries have not gave a good reputation to this system. Many of the largest well-known cities build their infrastructure in the same way like New York, Karachi, London etc. So it is a standard system of buildings across the world. I have recommended this apartment block system to local's one. Today millions of peoples living in there apartments happily.

In summary, build tall apartments in block wise is a wonderful way to provide a huge quantity of homes to a millions of people across the world. Local and international developers must be prefer this standard system to avoid further delay's.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position ('I am completely agreed to this statement') and discussing reasons for building tall apartment blocks, such as rising global populations and space efficiency. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat superficial. For example, the student mentions that 'many societies and developers build their towns according to same measures' and references countries like the USA and China, but these points are under-developed and lack specific elaboration or concrete examples. Furthermore, terms like 'satastics' reflect generalisations rather than well-supported arguments. While all parts of the task are addressed, the lack of deeper extension and support places this performance in the Band 5.0 range, where ideas are somewhat limited and repetitive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is organised into four paragraphs, providing a basic framework for an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the overall progression is disjointed. Transitions between sentences are often awkward or abrupt, as seen in 'On the other way, the developing nations...' where the cohesive phrase is misused. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, such as 'many of the largest well-known cities build their infrastructure in the same way like New York, Karachi, London etc.' Furthermore, paragraphing is not utilised to its full logical potential, and repetitive phrasing hinders smooth transitions of thought. These issues reflect the characteristics of Band 5, where there is some organisation but a lack of clear overall progression, alongside inaccurate and repetitive use of cohesive devices.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, struggling to meet the demands of an academic response. Noticeable errors in word choice and word formation appear throughout the text, such as 'stand tall apartments blocks' instead of 'build', 'satastics' instead of 'statistics', 'peoples' as a plural form of people, and 'local's one'. Phrases like 'gave a good reputation' and 'delay's' further demonstrate limited control over lexical items and collocations. While the vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey a basic message regarding housing and urban development, the frequent inaccuracies and lack of sophisticated lexical control firmly align with the Band 4.0 or 4.5 descriptors. Awarding a 4.5 reflects an adequate attempt at basic terms offset by systematic errors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but these attempts are frequently marred by severe grammatical errors. Examples include 'In my view of point and I am completely agreed to this statement' (awkward phrasing and grammatical inaccuracy), 'Build large apartment blocks it is not a new development' (malformed structure and subject-verb agreement issues), and 'have not gave a good reputation' (incorrect tense and verb form). Punctuation and article usage are also inconsistent throughout the text. Because errors occur in nearly every sentence and occasionally obscure the intended meaning, the response fits the Band 4.0 profile, where frequent errors in basic and complex structures distort meaning and impede reader comprehension.
