Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is believed that building tall apartment blocks is the best way to provide people with enough homes. There are also some people who believe that its not always the apartments that can provide people with homes. I agree that, because of the socialiasation and modernization some people prefer to stay in apartements so its the best way of providing people with their homes.
On the one hand, with the increasing use of development and technology in this modern era, people are becoming more digital now-a-days so they prefer to live at places that are very near to the facilitations that they for their life to process. As these apartments are located at very precise locations that are very nearby great shopping malls, hospitals, gyms and entertaining places. Because these are located at prime locations and offers less fares and sometimes they provide buyer to pay in installments that feels really attractive for a person to make a home there.
On the other hand, some people prefer to have their own homes in separate societies that are far away from the hastles of big cities so they can live in peace there and enjoy their lives with some privacy. But they have to move towards the big cities when it comes to education and health facilities. So it is not a very great idea to live far away from the basic facilities of big cities because at the end you have to move towards these big cities for the future of your generations.
In conclusion, people can make their homes in tall big apartments in big cities because they can find every facility nearby, rather than staying back in homes that are far away from the facilities of big cities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide homes in large cities. You present a clear position supporting the statement based on modernization and access to facilities. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, in the second paragraph, you mention that apartments are close to 'shopping malls, hospitals, gyms and entertaining places' and offer 'installments', but these points lack deeper exploration. The counterargument in the third paragraph is also rather superficial, discussing suburban living briefly before concluding that people eventually need city facilities. While all parts of the task are addressed, the support remains basic, aligning the response with a Band 6.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraphs featuring standard transition markers such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand', and a concluding paragraph. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. However, cohesion at the sentence level is occasionally faulty or mechanical. For example, phrases like 'so its the best way of providing people with their homes' link clauses somewhat loosely, and referencing is occasionally unclear, such as 'that feels really attractive for a person to make a home there', where the antecedent is vague. Overall logical progression is maintained, but cohesive devices require more precision for a higher band.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your main ideas about urban living. You attempt some less common vocabulary, such as 'modernization', 'facilitations', and 'infrastructure equivalents', but these are occasionally marked by inappropriate word choice or non-standard collocations, such as 'facilitations' instead of 'facilities' and 'less fares' instead of 'lower costs'. Spelling and word-choice errors are present, including 'socialiasation', 'apartements', and 'hastles', but they do not impede overall communication. To reach a higher band, a wider range of precise lexical items and more natural collocations are needed.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting multi-clause structures such as 'As these apartments are located at very precise locations that are very nearby great shopping malls...'. However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are several noticeable errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('its not always the apartments that can provide', 'offers less fares'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing ('that they for their life to process'). While these errors do not completely obscure meaning, they occur frequently enough to prevent the response from achieving a higher score. A tighter control over complex sentence structures and punctuation is recommended.
