Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some individuals belive that the best way to give sufficient accommodation in big urban areas is to construct tall apartments blocks. I assume that this is fully a positive development. My justification will be provided in upcoming paragraphs along with relevant examples.
On the one hand, building tall apartments can overcome the problem of vast land usage for development another reason that it can also help people to migrate where ever and when ever they want. For instance, a person who want to change his job due to promotion or any issue so if he own a apartment he can change it freely near his new working place. Hence, he can acquire his new job and he have a choice to change his house at any time.
On the other hand, Building apartments in a city can also help local people to build their shops in apartment also it provides parking facilities therefore, it reduces traffic from the public places. Moreover, government can provide electricity water supplies very efficiently also government can also provide public transport facilities easily near by apartments. Consequently, this approach can not only fulfill more accommodation but also can help to provide better planed urban development.
Nevertheless, relaying mostly on tall apartment blocks can also crate some problems such as over crowding less privacy or some people may prefer gardens or big play areas for their childrens some time the cost of building tall apartments can be expensive. Although with great planning and some carefull steps it can be tackled easily.
To conclude, i largely agree that building tall apartment blocks in large cities can reduce usage of greenlands and many other issues it also provide sufficient housing. hens, with proper

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by taking a clear, overall agreeing position regarding tall apartment blocks. The ideas presented, such as reducing land usage and improving urban planning, are relevant, though some arguments like job changes and migration are slightly under-developed and lack extension. The conclusion is incomplete, trailing off at the end ("hens, with proper"), which prevents a fully developed final thought. However, the core stance is maintained throughout, and the main points concerning housing sufficiency and infrastructure are sufficiently covered to meet the requirements for a Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement and follows a logical paragraph structure, using standard transitional phrases such as "On the one hand", "On the other hand", and "To conclude". However, paragraphing is somewhat undermined by the incomplete final sentence. Cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or overused, and referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun use in "if he own a apartment he can change it freely". Paragraphing is attempted appropriately, but the breakdown near the conclusion impacts the overall flow, placing this response solidly at Band 5.5.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student attempts a range of vocabulary suitable for the topic, including terms like "accommodation", "urban areas", "infrastructure", and "over crowding". However, there are frequent spelling errors ("belive", "apartmets", "planed", "crate", "carefull", "hens") and awkward word choices ("fully a positive development", "relaying mostly on"). Less common vocabulary is attempted with noticeable inaccuracy, which occasionally distracts the reader. Nevertheless, the range is adequate to convey the central meaning, aligning with the Band 5.5 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional structures ("if he own a apartment he can change it freely"). There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement, articles, and prepositions (e.g., "an apartment", "water supplies", "childrens", "i largely agree"), along with punctuation issues like run-on sentences and missing capitalization. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent enough to prevent the writing from achieving a higher band, making Band 5.0 the most accurate reflection of grammatical control.
