Student answer (Band 5.5)
In urban cities as the population grows having well established housing accomodation for each individual is quite challenging. subsequently having a decent place for living is one of the basic requirement of being human.
I agree with the statement to build flats or multiple story building for accomodating people as much as possible.Building taller buildings to provide home to its population is an excellent idea but the infrastructure must be approved from the concerned authorities and all the safety guidelines must be followe such as emergency stair case, stand by generatos for lift and fire safety system. such buildings must be built with inside grocery store, pharmacy, community hall basic first aid clinic and park for out door activities to facilitate community as much as possible
People will consider living in flats or community buildings if all the basic requirements were fulfilled.
Living in boundary wall society provide sense of safety as no outsider is allowed and people can walk in the park, kids can play outside and females can easily access to all the necessary things. People can connect socially and work on mutual ideas for the betterment of community and it will provide sense of belonging which will ease in connecting new people sharing ideas and promoting healthy and good living standards.
When people are living in secure and peacefull environment they can perform well in thier job/business, kids can excel in thier stuides which will impact economy in positive ways and country will grow.
subsequently when these positive changes visible in the society more people will consider living in these societies and standard of living will be better.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in agreement with building tall apartment blocks in large cities. The writer introduces relevant ideas regarding infrastructure requirements, safety guidelines, and community amenities such as grocery stores, parks, and clinics. However, the development of these ideas remains somewhat superficial and repetitive, particularly regarding community benefits and societal impacts. While the position is clear throughout, the support for the main ideas tends to rely on listing features rather than fully exploring the socio-economic arguments, placing this response comfortably within Band 6.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear stance. However, paragraphing is somewhat problematic; the student includes several very short paragraphs and single-sentence paragraphs that disrupt the logical flow. Cohesive devices are minimal and sometimes awkward, as seen with the lowercase starting word and unusual transitional phrase 'subsequently having a decent place'. Referencing and logical progression between ideas lack refinement, making the transitions between infrastructure, safety, and societal benefits mechanical rather than smooth, aligning with Band 5.5.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The lexical range is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to communicate basic ideas about housing and urban living. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'infrastructure', 'authorities', and 'facilities', but these are accompanied by frequent spelling and word-choice errors, including 'accomodation', 'multistory building', 'generatos', and 'peacefull'. Some phrases are repetitive or non-standard, such as 'boundary wall society'. These lexical inaccuracies and spelling slips occasionally strain the reader, fitting the Band 5 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar and punctuation is inconsistent. There are numerous punctuation errors, missing commas, run-on sentences, and lowercase beginnings at the start of sentences (e.g., 'subsequently having', 'Building taller'). Grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('safety guidelines must be followe') and missing articles, occur frequently throughout the text. Although the meaning is generally retrievable, the high frequency of grammatical slips limits the score to Band 5.0.
