Student answer (Band 5.0)
The best way to give apartments to all is to build tall apartments in large cities. This is good at some extent but all things have its own pros and cons.
Large cities in the world have to carry the burden of smaller cities in terms of providers. Large cities has huge schools, colleges, shopping malls and better hospitals facilities due to which people from small cities like to move in large cities for the betterment of their future.
T o accommodate them Government have to make apartments and tall buildings which is good in terms of accommodation. But in my perspective government have to build facilities in small cities too to avoid congestion in large cities.
Well to built new tall apartments government need labour, in terms of economy its good as it produce job market.
To facilitate people of all regions, tall apartments blocks are a good options rather than smaller houses. It is easy to accommodate more people in less space by building tall apartments and blocks.
But taller buildings will create a problem as many earthquake are observed across world so it is dangerous to make very tall building instead 15-20 floors building blocks are sufficient to meet the demands rather than 30-40 floors building.
Government should maintain standards to build tall buildings and apartments to facilitate more and more people in large cities.
For building tall apartments job market will create, revenue will generate and economy will boost up as more people will relocate from small cities to larger cities. Larger cities residents may find it uncomfortable in start but then eventually things will go better in terms of economy

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt regarding tall apartment blocks as a solution for urban housing, but it does so only partially. You present a basic position by agreeing to some extent and bringing in alternate ideas like developing small cities and limiting building heights to 15-20 floors. However, your ideas remain limited and under-developed. For instance, when you mention that large cities carry a burden and have better hospital facilities, this point is not fully tied back to whether tall apartments are the best way to provide homes. Furthermore, your conclusion reiterates economic benefits without fully synthesizing your arguments about safety and urban congestion. To move to a higher level, you need to extend your main points with more explanation and maintain a fully clear, consistent position throughout all paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
Your essay shows some organization, but there is a lack of clear overall progression from one paragraph to the next. Ideas jump somewhat abruptly between housing, government facilities in small cities, job markets, and earthquake safety without smooth transitions. Paragraphing is attempted, but many paragraphs consist of only one or two sentences, such as 'Well to built new tall apartments government need labour, in terms of economy its good as it produce job market.' Cohesive devices are used rather basically or repetitively, and referencing is occasionally unclear, making the logical flow mechanical at times. To achieve a higher score, you should group related ideas into well-developed paragraphs and use a wider variety of cohesive links to connect your arguments more naturally.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is limited but minimally adequate for the task. You successfully use basic terms related to the topic, such as 'accommodation', 'congestion', 'economy', and 'job market'. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and collocation that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, such as writing 'at some extent' instead of 'to some extent', 'to built' instead of 'to build', and 'hospital facilities' where 'healthcare facilities' would be more natural. You also repeat words like 'apartment', 'tall', and 'cities' frequently rather than using synonyms. To improve your lexical score, you need to expand your range of vocabulary, use less common lexical items with greater precision, and pay closer attention to word forms and collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a limited range of grammatical structures. While you attempt some complex sentences, they are often faulty, and there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader. Examples of errors include subject-verb agreement issues like 'Large cities has huge schools' and 'government have to make', missing articles such as 'in start' instead of 'in the start' and 'across world' instead of 'across the world', and punctuation slips. Simple sentences dominate your writing, and your attempts at complex clauses often contain grammatical slips. To reach a higher band, you must increase your control over basic grammar rules, such as verb agreements and articles, and produce a wider variety of error-free complex sentence structures.
