Student answer (Band 5.0)
In recent time, Every single day the population in metropolitan cities have been increasing dramatically. Increament in population is directly proportional to number of houses require for living and the great solution is to provide number of tall apartments. I totally disagree with this statement and in this essay i will support my opinion with examples.
Firstly, towering appartments require high amount of time for construction nearly mainy years. This construction period creates huge problems in transportion for public, which produce alot of traffic on main roads. A large area is needed for appartment, so big numbers of trees have been wipe out for this, which effects the climate of city.
Another reason why i disagree is that large amount of peoples come from different places along with their own identity, culture, and language, which creates problematic situations for local residents. They creates many huddles for them. For examlpe fear of snatching, hiking in jobs, and difference in mindset.
On the other hand, there is an aurgument that big cities means large numbers of opportunities, so it's for everyone. It's not only for local residents, but every single citizen of country has a right on this. But it compromises merit culture.
In conclusion, although it is true that construction need time and introduce high number of traffic jams, whereas different cultures introduce huge impact to local residents and makes their live uncomfortable. Personally, I think , governments should take some serious steps to encounter this problem.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response achieves a partial treatment of the prompt, resulting in a score aligned with the lower band descriptors. While you state a clear position at the outset ('I totally disagree with this statement'), the development of your ideas is limited and under-developed. For example, your points regarding traffic congestion, environmental impact, and cultural friction are stated rather than fully extended with relevant examples or explanations. Furthermore, the text falls slightly short of the minimum word requirement, containing only 246 words instead of the required 250, which impacts task completion. To move to a higher level, you must ensure you meet the word count and fully elaborate on your main arguments with detailed supporting evidence and examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some basic organization present in the essay, with paragraphs used to separate your distinct points, such as the introduction of arguments using 'Firstly' and 'Another reason'. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression throughout the text. Cohesive devices are sometimes inaccurate or repetitive, and referencing is not always clear, as seen in the transition to the counterargument where the flow becomes somewhat disjointed ('On the other hand, there is an aurgument...'). Paragraphing is attempted, but logical links between sentences and paragraphs need to be strengthened to guide the reader more smoothly. To achieve a higher band, you should ensure that your ideas progress logically from one to the next and that cohesive devices are used more naturally and accurately.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You demonstrate a limited but minimally adequate range of vocabulary for the task. There are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling throughout the response, such as 'Increament' instead of increase, 'appartments', 'manyh years', 'wipe out' instead of wiped out, 'huddles' instead of hurdles, 'examlpe', and 'aurgument'. These lexical errors and awkward collocations cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect a restricted vocabulary control. To improve your lexical score, you need to expand your range of vocabulary, pay closer attention to word forms and spelling, and use less common lexical items more accurately and appropriately in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Your writing displays a limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on basic sentence forms alongside attempts at complex sentences that are frequently faulty. There are persistent errors in grammar, subject-verb agreement, articles, and prepositions within grammatical patterns. Examples of these frequent errors include 'In recent time' instead of in recent times, 'population have been increasing' instead of has been, 'number of houses require' instead of required, 'high amount of time' instead of a large amount of time, 'large amount of peoples' instead of a large number of people, and 'makes their live' instead of lives. These errors occur frequently and can occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. To reach a higher level, you need to increase your control over complex sentence structures and reduce the frequency of basic grammatical errors.
