Student answer (Band 5.5)
Making high building apartments is the best choice to reduce the shortages of home in urbans areas. I firmly agree with this view becasue decline of making separate home is essentail for healthy enviroment and owning an apartment is cheaper than a home.
One major reason is that reducing the contruction work is great for clean and healthy enviroment. If in the cities there is less homes the more area will be open for firming. For instance if more people will settle in appartments then they there will be few homes and more are will not contstuct, so that reason reason people can be grow trees and plants that is essential for clean and healthy environemnt. Forthermore, the construction materials will have less demand and they will make less materials so they carben emmision will reduce as well that is also good for protecting from globlem warming.
Another reason is apartment blocks is affortable than separate house becasue owning a home it should required to buy land first and onward the building cost is another burden on their financial statment. For example, if you want to purchase you own space people have two chocies a home and an apartment. If someone's prefer apartment then it they don't need to construct your own and if they choose the home then they will buy home land and then construction. For that reason it will more cost effective as well as more consuming time.
In conclusion, making tall apartment blocks is the best for reducing the shortages of homes. It healthy for clean envirnoment and cost effective for everyone.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the task partially by presenting a clear position agreeing with the statement, but the ideas remain limited and under-developed. While the writer attempts to present arguments about environmental benefits and cost-effectiveness, the explanations are repetitive and lack sufficient support. For instance, the discussion regarding land use and farming for clean air is vague, stating 'more area will be open for firming' and repeating that people can grow trees. The ideas are not fully extended, leading to a generalisation of concepts without robust supporting evidence or specific examples from the student's actual knowledge.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays some organisation with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, but there is no clear overall progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used mechanically and sometimes inaccurately, such as 'Onward the building cost' and repetitive transitions like 'For example' and 'For that reason.' Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal flow of sentences within the body paragraphs is frequently disrupted by unclear referencing, such as 'for that reason reason people can be grow trees,' which makes following the logical development of thoughts challenging for the reader.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The lexical resource is limited and minimally adequate for the task, containing noticeable errors in spelling, word form, and word choice that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. There are frequent spelling mistakes such as 'urbans,' 'becasue,' 'essentail,' 'enviroment,' 'contruction,' 'firming,' 'appartments,' 'contstuct,' 'Forthermore,' 'carben,' 'emmision,' 'globlem,' 'affortable,' 'statment,' 'chocies,' and 'envirnoment.' Additionally, word choices and collocations are awkward, such as 'making high building apartments' instead of 'building high-rise apartments' or 'reducing the shortages of home.'
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer uses a very limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and basic conditional or relative clauses. Attempts at more complex structures are frequently faulty, leading to frequent errors that cause difficulty for the reader. Examples of grammatical errors include subject-verb agreement issues ('carben emmision will reduce', 'apartment blocks is affortable'), incorrect prepositions, missing articles ('in urbans areas', 'for clean and healthy enviroment'), and awkward verb forms and tense usage, such as 'people can be grow trees' and 'owning a home it should required to buy land first.'
