IELTS Writing Task 2 question

The best way to provide enough homes in large cities is to build tall apartment blocks.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Student answer (Band 5.5)

Undoubtedly, increament in population requires more the area to live. Although, many of the proponents believed that huge appartments are the only solution to provide accomodation to citizens. In the forthcoming paragraph, essay will shed light on the the very dissolution.

To embark with, these sky-scraping apartments allot shelter to number of peoples, rather than putting all remunerations in a personal house construction, the personnel used to pay a small amount of rent for room which helps them for future saving. Moreover, the amenities provided such as ideal water and electricity supply, trash services, security and such other things add values in sense of living of the personnel.

While on the other hand, the most prominent demerit of these tall standing building is that even after paying high fares for long run doesn't results to make them owner of that room, only just a tenant. Furthermore, some of the societal and housing benefits like terrace, private garden, and personalized paints and texture are totally absent in these commercialized towers which sometimes eventually lead to a kind of depression to that living person. For an instance, tenants like working professionals in another cities are usually frustrated in their life because of this whole scenario.

To put in a nutshell, these huge apartments is like a double edged sword which on one side is crucial for migrated working professionals and students who takes live coaching in other states while depressingand lonely for another pupil. To live in any apartment, it is preferred to make good connection with owner and neighbours so that even living in private rooms it must give a vibe of home and family which definitely support in upcoming situation.
