Student answer (Band 4.5)
I agree with this statement because of this we can save a lot of space for useful projects and solve the problem of the people and it well be easy to loacate a person but this can be harmful as feel. If the base is not much strong to hold the weight it can colaps at any time , We have to use new techonology to build tall apartments so that we can be safe during natural disasters and we cannot get harm. We should focus on the safety of the population, As techonology is getting better we can see this type of apartment blocks in future. In big cities if every person will have theirs own house that can consume a lot of space in future and that can lead to house crices , so to overcome this problem we can build tall apartment blocks and people can confertable visit some new places to get batter ideas for future . We can take example of over future generation if there is no play ground for children they well not be able to play outside like cricket, football etc. They can get adect to smart phone and that can be harmful for their eye and for their mental health. That mean they will not be able to do good in future. So at last i just wanna say we sould conserve some space for over future generation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response addresses the task only partially. Additionally, it must be noted that the text does not meet the minimum word count requirement, falling short of the required 250 words. The writer presents a basic position agreeing with the prompt, mentioning that tall blocks save space and solve housing problems, while also raising concerns about safety and a lack of playgrounds. However, the ideas remain limited and under-developed. For instance, the point about children getting addicted to smartphones is introduced without a clear, direct connection to why high-rises cause this issue beyond general space concerns. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to fully develop all parts of the prompt with extended explanations and well-supported arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The information and ideas are not arranged coherently, which creates significant challenges for the reader. The text consists of one extremely long, continuous block of writing without any paragraph breaks to separate distinct ideas, such as moving from structural safety to the impacts on children. Cohesive devices are either missing or inaccurate, resulting in a lack of overall progression. Phrases like 'So at last i just wanna say' and run-on sentences with excessive comma splices make the flow mechanical and difficult to follow. To improve, the writer must organise the essay into clear paragraphs with proper introductions and conclusions, and use a wider range of logical connectors to link sentences smoothly.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some topic-related words such as 'technology', 'population', and 'generation', but there are noticeable errors in word form, spelling, and word choice that cause some difficulty for the reader. Examples include spelling errors like 'colaps', 'loacate', 'crices', 'confertable', 'batter', 'adect', and 'sould'. Furthermore, phrase choices such as 'house crices' and 'confertable visit some new places' demonstrate a lack of precision. To achieve a higher score, the student must expand their lexical range, use less common vocabulary more accurately, and ensure correct spelling throughout the text.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a very limited range of structures, relying primarily on simple sentences linked improperly with commas and conjunctions. Attempts at complex structures are often faulty, as seen in conditional-style thoughts like 'If the base is not much strong to hold the weight it can colaps at any time'. There are frequent errors in verb forms, prepositions, articles, and punctuation that cause difficulty for the reader, including missing capitalization for the pronoun 'I' and run-on punctuation patterns. To progress, the writer needs to incorporate a wider variety of complex sentence forms with greater accuracy and improve control over basic sentence boundaries.
