Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people belive that high rise building is the best solution to provide large number of housing in one apartment, I diagree on this thesis because cities should also expend in low rise house for expantion of cities.
To begin with tall building contribute to provide home to hundered of family into one building, It can provide hundered of family there home, in the high rise of inflation and the population is become more important, by constructing high story contrast better then using same land of building one home where hardly 2 family can live together.therefor apartment block help cities to provide better using of land.
However i dont agree that making high floor building is best solution, where hundered of family lives under one apartment can cause for lack of availabilty of public transport and also can cause of damage roads due to daily commuite of vehicle at same place, due to lack of persnoal space and congested housing may not satisfy the residential needs, instead goverment should improve scheme on housing in near by urban area induge citizen to own there little space in ther low rise house which also conncet urban area with city by improving transportation so they can still have access to there emplyoement.
in conclusion: Although high rise building can help to provide enough home but i denay with this statment can suggest to provide housing in low price near urban city which can be more convinent in developtaion and meet with housing need.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear stance against building tall apartment blocks, suggesting instead that cities should expand into low-rise housing. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat limited and under-developed. For example, while the writer mentions that tall buildings can accommodate hundreds of families, the explanation of why this negatively impacts public transport and roads is repetitive and lacks specific supporting examples. To move to a higher level, the writer needs to extend their arguments with more detailed explanations and relevant real-world examples rather than relying on generalised statements.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays some organisation with basic paragraphing, separating the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. However, there is no clear overall progression of ideas, and the flow is frequently disrupted by inadequate and repetitive cohesive devices. For instance, transitions like 'To begin with', 'However i dont agree', and 'in conclusion' are used mechanically, and punctuation is often neglected, such as missing capitalisation at the beginning of sentences and after full stops. Pronoun referencing is also unclear in places, making it hard to follow the exact logical links between arguments. Improving paragraph internal cohesion and punctuation would significantly strengthen the structure.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common terms, such as 'inflation', 'residential needs', and 'urban area', but these are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word form, such as 'belive' for believe, 'diagree' for disagree, 'expend' for expand, 'expantion' for expansion, 'commuite' for commute, 'persnoal' for personal, 'denay' for deny, and 'developtaion' for development. These errors cause some difficulty for the reader. To improve, the writer should focus on mastering standard word forms, expanding their range of functional vocabulary, and paying closer attention to spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a very limited range of sentence structures. While there are some attempts at complex sentences, they are frequently faulty, containing numerous errors in grammar, subject-verb agreement, articles, and prepositions. Examples include 'high rise building is the best solution to provide large number of housing' (missing articles and pluralisation), 'population is become' (incorrect verb tense/voice), 'where hundered of family lives' (agreement and clause structure issues), and 'induge citizen to own there little space' (incorrect word form and possessive pronoun use). These frequent errors cause considerable difficulty for the reader. Incorporating a wider variety of accurate grammatical structures and refining basic sentence boundaries will help elevate this aspect.
