Student answer (Band 5.0)
The best way to provide a large amount of house in the bigger area is to make higher flats and blocks from my view point i think to made tall appartmeant and blocks so everyone can sattle in it the flats.
On the one hand, We see if we canstruct high appartmeant in the cities are it will be take a long time of period another side we see the tall apartmeant will be destroyed in few minitues only due to the cause of earthquike and a large numer of people get injured and dies in it so, the idea of tall building is not rilayable in the citi area.
On the other hand, The observation of people is for tall building so they get proper scurity and don't have any fear of thef. Most of people incity area like to live in the tall appartmeant and if we build with proper machinery and matireal there is no fear of earthquick and a large number of people get their own home to live their freely get new canections with their neibour. Conclusion, By my perspective people like tall appartmeant in city arear and don't like rush so the best way to provide enough homes to people in large cities is tall appartmeant so they get all feslities of excersice, swimming, gym and many other fesility so they can not go anywhere else for this fesilities they can go out if they want but mostofly will go to catch their bussiness and jobs activities so, tall appartmeant is the best way to provide enogh homes in cities

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether tall apartment blocks are the best solution for housing shortages in large cities, presenting a clear personal stance in favour of such buildings. However, the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed. For instance, the counterargument concerning earthquakes and the supporting points about security and amenities are mentioned rather than fully elaborated with sustained reasoning or concrete examples. The student attempts to cover both sides of the issue and offers a direct conclusion, but the arguments lack the depth and extension required for a higher level, keeping the response firmly within the partial development category.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation present in the essay, with an introduction, contrasting body paragraphs, and a concluding remark. However, there is no clear overall progression of ideas, and the flow is frequently disrupted by run-on sentences and a lack of proper punctuation, particularly in the lengthy conclusion. Cohesive devices are either inadequate, inaccurate, or over-used, such as the repetitive transitions 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand', which are used awkwardly and without proper sentence breaks. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion fails due to ideas running together without clear demarcation.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for conveying basic ideas about housing in cities. There are noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word form that cause some difficulty for the reader, such as 'sattle' instead of 'settle', 'canstruct' instead of 'construct', 'thef' instead of 'theft', 'matireal' instead of 'material', and 'earthquick' instead of 'earthquake'. Attempts to use less common vocabulary are hindered by severe spelling and morphological inaccuracies, which restrict the range and precision of the response.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The writing displays a very limited range of structures, relying heavily on simple sentences strung together with conjunctions or commas rather than proper period usage. While there are a few attempts at complex sentences, these are often faulty, as seen in fragments and run-on clauses like 'On the other hand, The observation of people is for tall building so they get proper scurity and don't have any fear of thef.' Frequent errors in verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, articles, and prepositions are present throughout the text, causing considerable difficulty and requiring effort from the reader to parse the intended meaning.
