Student answer (Band 5.5)
The population of every city increases over the time which is considerbly a challenge for the habitants of large cities. In this condition, I strongly agree with this statement to provide tall apartments in large cities which can provide home ammenties to the people. However , this development has fewer challenges such the building should be properly designed, the quality of resistance to earthquake must be included, even though it is still possible with a good vision of leadership and investors. This is the best way to accomodate people in proper shape. For instance, if small family will construct a big house which be resulted in congestion of a city, while a tall apartment buliding can accomodate number of families in a single tower of flats. The main reason is that it also will provide beauty to city, we can have the example of Dubia where tall resident buildings has brought more beauty to the city. Although there are In term of tousrism, it can be very attractive for the citizen of another country cities, additionaly it willhave a very good impact on the country ecomomy owing to the vistors . In developed countries the apartment block provide every facility to its residence including shopping mall, gym, school and other several markets, whereas it will indirectly produce job opportunites which can benifit many families.
In many cities flats are available on installments, which can be affordable for family which can not provide a huge amount of money at once. Therefore, tall apartments are very necessary to provide homes to those in need and reduce congestion of the city.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task and presents a clear position throughout, agreeing with the given statement. The main ideas are relevant, such as reducing urban congestion and providing integrated facilities, which demonstrates the solid elements required for a higher band. However, some ideas are under-developed or lack sufficient extension. For instance, the mention of tourism benefits and economic impacts in Dubai is introduced briefly without tying it back securely to the central theme of providing homes. Similarly, the contrast between a small family building a big house and a tall apartment block is touched upon but remains slightly unclear in its development. To reach the next level, every supporting point needs to be fully elaborated with clearer examples and stronger direct links to the main argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation present in the essay, as seen in the clear division into introduction, body, and conclusion paragraphs, and the overall arrangement is broadly coherent. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression, and the logical flow between sentences and paragraphs often falters. Cohesive devices are sometimes used inaccurately or repetitively, such as the abrupt transitions and loose connectors like 'However' and 'Therefore' which do not always logically link the preceding arguments. Furthermore, referencing can be unclear, making it occasionally difficult for the reader to follow the exact line of thought. To improve, you should ensure that each sentence flows naturally into the next using a wider range of appropriate cohesive ties, and structure your paragraphs so that the progression of ideas is transparent and tightly controlled.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The essay displays a limited but minimally adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common words and phrases such as 'habitant', 'congestion', and 'amenities'. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice, word formation, and spelling that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Examples include 'considerbly', 'ammenties', 'accomodate', 'buliding', 'Dubia', 'resident buildings', 'ecomomy', and 'benifit'. These lexical slips and inaccurate collocations prevent the response from achieving a higher score. To improve your lexical resource, you should focus on expanding your precise vocabulary control, ensuring correct word forms, and paying closer attention to spelling conventions for common academic and general terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writing demonstrates a limited range of sentence structures, relying on a mix of simple forms and attempts at complex sentences that are frequently faulty. There are numerous grammatical errors involving articles, prepositions, and subject-verb agreement, such as 'The population of every city increases over the time which is considerbly a challenge', 'if small family will construct', and 'it willhave a very good impact'. Punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after commas and periods, are also present. These frequent errors in grammar and punctuation can cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect a need for tighter structural control. To move forward, you should work on constructing complex sentences accurately, mastering verb tense consistency, and refining your command of articles and prepositions within grammatical patterns.
