Student answer (Band 5.5)
At present time, Population is rapidly incresing day by day. There are thousand of people facing problem in search of house. I strongly agree that it is better to build apartment blocks which help to provide enough homes in urban cities. Reason for building apartments are described in below paragraphs.
Firstly, Larger cities economy is developing steady from which there are multiple area coverd with factories, malls and other essential workshops. Due to that half of the area consumed for industrial work and public sectors. By building tall apartment there are numerous advantages that people able to get. Thus, apartment helps to provide facility at one place only and large number of individuals may able to live at the high rise building. There are other facilities such as groceries, gym, swimming pool as well as club house present inside the apartment to they can use such kind of things.
Secondly, Hundreds of people started living at the same place from which they started communicate with each other which also helps them to improve their social circle in unknown city. They are also able to connect with different kind of culture and experience huge number of new things. It reduces stress related to residential problems such as water and gas because it is manage by the society community which is great responsibility. Tall apartment helps to overcome people from homesickness and gives you natural air and view from high rise building.
To reiterate, Tall apartment helps people to live their best life in large cities with multiple advantages. I beileve that it helps multiple people to find their shelter easily.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt regarding tall apartment blocks as a housing solution, presenting a clear position of agreement. However, the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed, placing the essay at this level. While the writer touches on industrial land use and internal facilities like gyms and clubhouses, these points lack specific elaboration or concrete examples. For instance, the claim that apartments reduce stress related to water and gas management is introduced without sufficient explanation of how or why. To progress further, the writer needs to extend their arguments with more detailed supporting points and fully explore the implications of high-rise living rather than relying on generalised statements.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays some organisation with a traditional introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and basic paragraphing is used. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression throughout the text. Cohesive devices are sometimes inadequate, repetitive, or mechanically applied, such as the frequent reliance on 'Firstly' and 'Secondly' without smooth transitions between ideas. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in phrases like 'from which they started communicate' where the logical link between clauses is muddled. Achieving a higher standard requires more sophisticated and varied cohesive links, clearer pronoun referencing, and a stronger logical flow that guides the reader seamlessly from one point to the next.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey the basic message about urban housing. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary items, such as 'residential problems' and 'social circle', but these are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling, such as 'incresing' instead of increasing, 'coverd' instead of covered, and 'high rise' used inconsistently. Collocations are sometimes awkward, for example, 'industrial work' instead of industrial purposes. To reach the next level, the writer must expand their lexical repertoire, pay closer attention to spelling and word forms, and use less common lexical items with greater precision and stylistic awareness.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside a few attempts at complex forms that are frequently faulty. There are frequent errors in grammar, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'Population is rapidly incresing' and article misuse such as 'in search of house' and 'in unknown city'. Preposition and verb pattern errors also occur frequently, such as 'help to provide facility' and 'overcome people from homesickness'. These errors can cause some difficulty for the reader and reveal a lack of firm control over basic grammatical patterns. To improve, the writer needs to increase sentence variety and eliminate frequent structural inaccuracies.
