Student answer (Band 4.5)

Some peoples sayed building tall apartmennt instead we build many houses so in my perspective i strongly believe that building tall apartment is the best way for accomodation

As we can see that there are many reasons to build tall apartment instead to build homes because if we build tall apartment we can settle lots of people in same apartment as well as wa can make a strong relations of our neighbour who live in same apartment

As we got lots of facility also like water facility, maintancenence of building and playground for kids also provided so their is nothing of worried we can live our own life without any tension while focusing in work so in this way we got lots of facility to got from apartment building so i recomand people to chose apartment instead of building homes

If we settle in apartment the environment also looked cleaned and tiedy all the peoples are followed rules and regulations of society and bonding between among the society are better and amazing so i highly recommend poeple to settle in apartment instead of homes

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

The response addresses the task minimally, presenting a clear position that you agree with building tall apartment blocks for accommodation. However, the ideas remain limited and under-developed, lacking specific examples or deep elaboration to support the claims about community bonding and facilities. Furthermore, the length requirement is not met, as the response contains only 184 words, which falls significantly short of the 250-word minimum. To reach a higher level, you must expand your response well past the minimum word count and provide fully developed, well-supported arguments with concrete examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some basic organization present, but the text lacks a clear overall progression. The essay is structured into a brief introduction and several supporting blocks, but it functions largely as a single long sequence without proper paragraphing discipline. Cohesive devices are basic and repetitive, relying heavily on simple conjunctions and phrases like 'As we can see that' and 'If we settle'. Pronoun referencing is sometimes unclear, such as 'their is nothing of worried'. To improve, you should organize your ideas into distinct, logical paragraphs and use a wider, more accurate range of cohesive devices to connect your arguments smoothly.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for expressing basic thoughts, but noticeable errors cause difficulty for the reader. There are frequent spelling and word form errors throughout the text, such as 'peoples', 'sayed', 'apartmennt', 'accomodation', 'maintancenence', 'recomand', 'chose', 'cleaned', 'tiedy', and 'poeple'. Additionally, word choices lack precision, such as 'lots of facility'. To move to the next band, you need to use a wider range of vocabulary with accurate spelling, correct word forms, and appropriate collocations suitable for academic writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The range of structures is very limited, relying primarily on repetitive simple or loosely joined clauses. Attempts at complex sentences are faulty, seen in over-extended run-on sentences like 'As we got lots of facility also like water facility, maintancenence of building and playground for kids also provided so their is nothing of worried we can live our own life without any tension while focusing in work'. Frequent errors are present in verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, and articles, which can cause difficulty for the reader. To improve, you should practice using accurate complex sentence structures with correct punctuation and master basic grammatical patterns.
