Student answer (Band 5.0)
I agreed with this Provide enough home in large cities to build tall apartment blocks.
Because in bbig cities due to more facilities people move from villages to citiies for bbetter life style or for job seekig purposes. If build apartment in block it is useful in sense the population or building purpose is manageable and also many paople take shelter for living.
For example Lahore is big city here is a lot of people like jobian, student and some visitors if make home in the form of block apartments it reduce ethe land use effect because in a building on ground flour a parking area every here park their vehicles while onn upper flourrs incase building contain 10 flour, on every floour their are 5 apartment. Now in a single building there are 50 homes where aloot of people sytay and also park their vehciles. If all these live seprately do every apartment convert into home and alot of land covererd that is harmful for city in both land cover, make city more populated and less beautiful. On the other hand if can't do this type of management that create diffcuilties in every sense like urban expansion and difficuilt for policy makers. If people live in the form of apartment that's easy for survey of any kind or we said for vaccination or mayy any kind of awarness. So in my perspective its good way to provide enough homes in large cities to build tall apartment instead of seprate homes to everyone.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear opinion in favour of tall apartment blocks to solve housing shortages in large cities. However, the task achievement is hindered by length issues. The length requirement is NOT met because the response contains only 245 words, falling short of the 250-word minimum (with 8 words copied from the prompt excluded). Furthermore, while the writer attempts to provide reasons such as land conservation and administrative convenience, the ideas remain limited and under-developed, lacking detailed elaboration or fully realised examples. The position is discernible, but the overall development is restricted, keeping the task response limited.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The writing shows some basic organisation with an introduction and supporting points, but it lacks a clear overall progression. Paragraphing is extremely weak, as the body of the text is lumped into a single, massive block of text rather than being divided into logical paragraphs for different ideas. Cohesive devices are minimal, repetitive, or inaccurate, relying heavily on basic conjunctions like 'and', 'because', and 'if'. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, making it hard for the reader to follow the flow of arguments smoothly from one point to the next.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is limited and barely adequate for the task. There are frequent word choice, collocation, and word form errors, such as writing 'jobian' instead of 'job seekers', 'ground flour' instead of 'ground floor', and 'awarness'. Spelling errors are noticeable throughout the text, including 'citiies', 'bbig', 'bbeetter', 'ethel', and 'seprate'. The range of vocabulary is restricted to simple, repetitive words, which occasionally causes difficulty and strain for the reader in understanding the precise meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a very limited range of sentence structures. When the writer attempts complex sentences, they are frequently faulty and ungrammatical, such as in the opening sentence 'I agreed with this Provide enough home...' and 'If build apartment in block it is useful...'. There are frequent errors in verb forms, subject-verb agreement, articles, and plurals throughout the text, including phrases like 'a lot of people like jobian', 'on every floour their are 5 apartment', and 'alot of land covererd'. These frequent errors cause considerable difficulty for the reader.
