In the modern world, the number of population is rising in many nations, whereas there is limited space for human being to live. Many of individuals believe that building a sky scrapers is the perfect way to provide enough space for living in metropolitan city. This essay will articulate the reason my agreement in forthcoming paragraphs.
To commence with the first point of view, the majority of citizens from rural area prefer to live in large cities for better life style due to that cities have become more crowded. To be more precise, due to migration, numbers of individuals in large cities are increasing but there is a limited space for them. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and presents a clear, consistent position agreeing with the statement throughout the essay. The main ideas are relevant, such as discussing how tall buildings accommodate rural-to-urban migration and simplify the delivery of public services. However, the development of these ideas is uneven. For example, while the point regarding migration is supported with a basic example of apartment capacity, the explanation remains somewhat repetitive and lacks deeper extension. The conclusion directly reiterates the initial position, fulfilling the basic requirements of task response without fully exploring the wider nuances of urban planning.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear, logical progression of ideas from introduction through body paragraphs to a concluding summary. Paragraphing is used appropriately, with each body paragraph focusing on a distinct argument. Cohesive devices are employed to connect ideas, such as 'To commence with', 'To be more precise', and 'To elaborate further'. However, some cohesive referencing is slightly mechanical or repetitive, pointing to the characteristics of the half-band, while logical transitions generally maintain readability throughout the text.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, successfully communicating the main points regarding urban housing and population density. The writer attempts some less common lexical items, such as 'metropolitan city' and 'netizens', but these attempts occasionally suffer from inaccuracies in word choice, form, or collocation, such as 'sky scrapers' (skyscraper) and 'life style' (lifestyle). Spelling and word-choice errors occur, but they do not impede communication, allowing the reader to follow the argument without significant strain.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writing displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt at varied grammatical structures, such as conditional clauses ('if there is 20 story apartment then around 300-400 people can live'). There are several errors in grammar and punctuation, particularly regarding articles ('the number of population', 'a sky scrapers'), plurals ('numbers of individuals'), and subject-verb agreement. However, these errors rarely impede communication and the meaning remains clear, aligning closely with the standard expected for this level.
