Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often argued that the good path to convey enough residence in big cities is to build tall apartments blocks. I completely agree with this statements. This eassy will examine more clearly in the below.
On one hand, the homes that are build in the large city must be built tall because there are so many reasons for the metropolitan cities as we can see beautiful views from our windows if we are having high rise homes. We can easily breath in the air. Moreover i live in sargodha there are so many tall buildings like imtaiz mall which is built as a shopping centre we can buy anything from one place there are so many facilities for the tall buildings. Futhermore, in urban areas, residential complexes and skyscraper towers are replacing old structure due to urban sprawl. For instance, me and my family livein the apartment block that is located in the middle of the area where i get every stuff i needed. All types of ffacilities are provided in the tower. Thats why i agree with it.
On the second hand, Some individuals disagree with this statments beacuse they prefer to live in small homes rather than tall apartments. In there point of veiw they say there is no space for vehicals parking and they cannot freely enjoy. Because of the neighbours they spend their life so quit therefore they prefer separate home where they do whatever they want. They can easily celebrate their festivals without any restrictions.
In conculsion, many people wanted to live in spaceful areas rather than apartmennts where they can park there cars and bikes. While i belived that life would be peaceful in apartments.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing an opinion on building tall apartment blocks, but the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed. While a position is stated, it lacks consistent clarity and depth throughout the essay. Sargodha and local examples like 'imtaiz mall' are brought in as personal anecdotes, but they fail to effectively support the broader arguments about urban planning and high-rise housing. Some aspects of the task, such as counterarguments, are touched upon in the third paragraph, but explanations are superficial and drift into tangents regarding neighbours and celebrations rather than focusing strictly on housing density and urban solutions. To move higher, the response needs to fully develop well-supported main ideas with relevant, generalisable examples rather than relying heavily on narrow personal experiences.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some basic organisation with paragraph breaks representing introduction, body points, and a conclusion, but the essay lacks a clear overall progression. Cohesive devices are used mechanically or inaccurately, such as 'On the second hand' instead of 'On the other hand', and abrupt transitions between sentences disrupt the flow of reading. Referencing is also problematic at times, with pronouns whose antecedents are unclear. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion within paragraphs is weak, resulting in choppy and disconnected thoughts. To improve, the writer should use logical transitional phrases more naturally and ensure that each paragraph builds systematically toward the central thesis without sudden topic shifts.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary items, such as 'urban sprawl' and 'residential complexes', but these are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and form, such as 'good path', 'convey enough residence', and 'spaceful areas'. Spelling errors, including 'eassy', 'breath', 'Futhermore', 'livein', 'vehicals', 'quit', and 'conculsion', occur frequently. These lexical limitations and errors cause some difficulty for the reader and restrict the precision of the argument. To achieve a higher band, the student must expand their vocabulary range, learn proper word collocations, and practice accurate spelling and word formation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The grammatical range is quite limited, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside faulty attempts at complex structures. Frequent errors are present across basic and complex forms, including tense inconsistencies, missing or incorrect articles, and faulty subject-verb agreement, such as 'homes that are build', 'there are so many facilities for the tall buildings', and 'In there point of veiw'. Punctuation is also erratic, with run-on sentences and uncapitalised pronouns. These frequent errors cause strain and difficulty for the reader. To progress to a higher level, the student needs to demonstrate a greater variety of complex sentence structures while significantly improving control over basic grammar rules, punctuation, and verb forms.
