Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, increasing population has been serious probelm. Subsequently, hosuing probelm out rages. Peoples' believe building tall apartment will reduce hosuing probelm. I firmly concur that tall apartment provides more room and space to live.
On the first hand, tall building reduceses space problem. In a tall building their will be more than hundred rooms, where fifty family can live easily. Living becomes more compatable with strong socialistic envirnoment, people can larn different perspectives. In the USA, instead of small numerous houses there are fewer but taller buildings, which reduces space problem and insure every people got a house to live.
On the other's hand, tall buildig reduces home and encourage industries. Industries require gigantic space, which include several sections, to produce goods. People can use those goods for a comfortable future. For instance, in a city, there are tall apartments and more industries. Industries improves the ranking of city and encourage investor, so they might have exclusive opportunities.
In my view, small houses should be minimized and tall buildings should be encourage because it helps to reduce housing problem and every people can have a house. a tall building is equivalent to fifty-houses. If more rooms are avilable then the cost of it will reduce automatically.
In conclusion, to control hosuing issues, people should focus on promoting tall buildings rather than small houses. In addition, companies recive larger areas to spread and improve economy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favour of tall apartment blocks, but the ideas remain limited and under-developed, which prevents the essay from reaching higher levels. While the writer touches on reducing the housing problem and freeing up land for industries, the arguments lack depth and rely on simplistic assertions rather than well-supported reasoning. Furthermore, the response falls short of the required word count, coming in at 234 words instead of the minimum 250 words. To improve, the writer needs to expand on their main ideas with more detailed explanations, concrete examples, and ensure the word count requirement is fully met.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some basic organisation with clear paragraph breaks separating the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. However, the overall progression of ideas is sometimes hindered by inadequate or mechanical cohesive devices, such as repetitive transitions like 'On the first hand' and 'On the other's hand'. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, making the flow of the argument feel disjointed at times. To move to a higher band, the writer should use a wider variety of natural cohesive devices to link sentences and paragraphs smoothly, ensuring that the logical relationship between ideas is clearly maintained throughout the essay.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task, containing noticeable errors in spelling and word choice that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Examples of such issues include misspelled words like 'probelm', 'hosuing', 'compatable', 'envirnoment', 'larn', 'insure', 'buildig', and 'avilable', as well as awkward phrasing like 'out rages' and 'Peoples' believe'. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, but inaccurate word forms and spelling mistakes detract from the overall quality. To achieve a higher score, the writer must expand their lexical range, use correct word forms, and pay closer attention to accurate spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writing demonstrates a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside frequent faulty attempts at complex forms. There are frequent errors in verb forms, subject-verb agreement, plurals, and articles, such as 'increasing population has been serious probelm', 'tall building reduceses', 'their will be more', 'every people got', and 'companies recive'. These recurring errors can cause difficulty for the reader and obscure the intended meaning. To improve, the writer needs to exercise better control over basic grammatical structures, ensure correct subject-verb agreement, and develop greater accuracy when constructing complex sentences.
