Student answer (Band 4.5)
As the world become advance in technology the population of world will also increases day by day.And more people comes towards big cities and here a problem of their homes arises because as the passage of time there is not enough space to met their needs so an idea arise to make bulidings and gave people apartments to solve this problem. From my perspective I completely agree with the satetment because it solve a huge problem.
Everyone should know the importance of home. But if there in no enough space to create home so what would we do ? but if we arranged the space by making huge and tall buildings and here everyone live in their own appartment by doing so a large number of people lives a happy life and they got a god place to live. For example, in many countries those are more advance like in china they made totaly tall and large buildings and appartments to solve their problem of more population and this also looks so beautiful.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response responds to the task only minimally and fails to meet the word count requirement, containing only 174 words instead of the minimum 250 words. While the writer manages to present a basic position agreeing with the prompt, the ideas remain very limited and under-developed. For instance, the mention of China as an example is extremely brief and lacks any substantive explanation or development. Because the response is significantly short and ideas are only touched upon rather than properly extended, the task is addressed only tangentially, leading to a very restricted score in this area.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
Information and ideas are not arranged coherently throughout the text. The response suffers from poor paragraphing, including an incomplete final line that trails off abruptly, which severely disrupts the overall organization and logical progression. While basic connective words like 'and', 'but', and 'moreover' are present, cohesive devices are often faulty or inadequate, making the text difficult to follow. There is a lack of clear overall progression, and the referencing between sentences is frequently unclear, meaning the reader struggles to trace how one idea leads to the next.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, utilizing everyday words such as 'make buildings', 'big cities', and 'happy life' with limited flexibility. There are numerous noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word form, including phrases like 'world become advance' instead of 'advanced', 'satetment', 'appartment', and 'totaly'. These lexical inaccuracies and the limited range strain the reader at times, reflecting a restricted ability to express precise meanings or handle less common lexical items effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The grammatical range is very limited, relying heavily on simple sentence structures and run-on sentences joined by coordinating conjunctions without proper punctuation. Errors are frequent throughout the text, involving incorrect verb forms such as 'population will also increases', missing articles, subject-verb agreement issues like 'there in no enough space', and incorrect prepositions. These frequent grammatical errors cause significant difficulty for the reader and mean that the text lacks control over basic sentence boundaries and structures.
