Student answer (Band 5.0)
Although population in large cities inceased day by day, we can provide accommodation by constructed tall apartment blocks.while i strongly agree for constructing large building,i do not beleive that it always be suitable for everyone and it also have some disadvantages for citizen.
In large city, population increase dramatically due to some reason like, big city provide better opportunity to grow in this way people from distant area as well as from small city prefer to move towards land of opportunity.similarly, major city provide level of education and better employemnet chance in this way majority of the sorrounded area wanted to update themselves so, they decided to moved in high demanded city, for example community live in small city they have no proper jobs as well as no high ranked education institue in this way they have only one way to shift to that place where they have all facilities like these. In this way population in large city increased, to accommodate the community it should be the only reason to construct vertical building rather than horizantly. Another major reason for this approach we conserved agriculture land which play an important role in the economy of the country.
on the other hand, Although tall apartement better approach to utilize urban population,it also have some disadvantages.Whenever tall building is contructed people cannot take proper dazling rays of sun they cannot do proper exercise, morning walk also become a challange for the people which is best the mental as well as physical health
Morever, as citizen in large city increased for the accommodation and to utilize the urban land construct tall apartments is good approach but it also leads some consequences for the people who live in these apartement.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether tall apartment blocks are the best solution for urban housing, presenting a somewhat clear position. However, the ideas remain limited and under-developed. For instance, the writer touches on population growth and the conservation of agricultural land, but these points are explained with repetitive phrasing and lack sufficient extension or relevant examples. The mention of health disadvantages related to tall buildings is also underdeveloped and abrupt. To move to a higher band, the writer needs to explore each main idea more thoroughly with specific, well-reasoned arguments and fully supported examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays some basic organization, separating the introduction, body points, and a brief conclusion, but there is no clear overall progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are frequently inadequate, inaccurate, or repetitive, with transitions like 'in this way' and 'similarly' overused to link loosely connected clauses. Paragraphing is attempted, but the final paragraph is a fragmented sentence rather than a fully developed conclusion. Referencing is also occasionally unclear. To achieve a higher level of coherence, the writer should ensure that ideas logically flow from one to the next, employ a wider and more accurate range of cohesive markers, and structure paragraphs with clear topic sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited but minimally adequate to convey the basic topic of urban housing. There are noticeable lexical errors, such as 'inceased' for increased, 'employemnet', 'sorrounded', and 'apartement', along with awkward word choices like 'dazling rays of sun'. These errors occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'vertical building' and 'agriculture land', but control over word form and spelling is weak. To improve this criterion, the student must expand their vocabulary range, focus on correct word forms, and pay closer attention to spelling and natural collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response shows a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences or run-on clauses linked improperly with commas and conjunctions. Attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, demonstrated by errors in tense agreement, missing articles, and awkward subordinate clauses such as 'while i strongly agree for constructing large building,i do not beleive that it always be suitable'. Frequent errors in punctuation, capitalization, and basic sentence boundaries are present throughout the text and cause significant difficulty for the reader. To progress, the writer needs to practice constructing accurate complex sentences with correct subordination, subject-verb agreement, and punctuation.
