Student answer (Band 5.5)
The most suitable way to handover enough homes in bigger cities is to construct tall apartment block. I partialy agree with this statement as apartments accomodate more people and takes less space but at the same time it can create overcrowding and distrubs privacy.
On the one hand, building apartments is the best way to provide enough living space for the families. High rise buildings takes lesser space which let builders to take advatange by investing more in bulidings and majorily helps in boosting economy which is further beneficial for government to recieve higher tax revenue. Furthermore, constructing tall apartment provides all basic facilities to the people which they can avail and maintain their living standards. Additionally, these buildings will take less area and ultimately larger cities can entertain higher number of population.
On the other hand, relying only on building tall apartments instead of building homes can lead to overcrowding anf it will result in disturbance of privacy. People living there can interefare in eachothers life which will create conflict among them and there are will be dispute always. This issue will majorily effect their way of living. For instance, people in buildings have issue in car parking which create f
In conclusion, constructing taller buildings is the most effecient way of accomodating people in lesser space and providing best solution to families shifting from other city, however relying only on constructing these buildings instead of seperate houses can create trouble in terms of people privacy and create rush of people in a smaller area.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear, though qualified, position: you partly agree because apartment blocks use space efficiently, while exclusive reliance on them may harm privacy and create overcrowding. Both sides are relevant, and you offer supporting points such as tax revenue, facilities and parking disputes. However, several claims remain general rather than being explained with a specific example or clear reasoning. The parking example is cut off at “which create f”, so it does not fully support the point, and the conclusion largely repeats the introduction instead of drawing the argument together. Develop fewer points more fully—for example, explain how high-rise housing can increase capacity while planning shared facilities to reduce congestion—and complete each example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs presenting advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” make the contrast easy to follow, and the main position is generally traceable. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the first body paragraph moves from space-saving to investment, tax revenue and facilities without clearly showing how each point supports the central claim. Some linking is repetitive or mechanical, and the unfinished parking example interrupts the second body paragraph. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each supporting detail explicitly to the paragraph’s main idea. Complete the example and ensure the conclusion synthesises the two sides rather than repeating earlier wording.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “high rise buildings,” “overcrowding,” “privacy,” “tax revenue” and “living standards,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less precise, such as “handover” for providing homes, “lesser space,” “entertain higher number of population” and “disturbance of privacy.” There are also repeated general terms such as “buildings,” “people” and “create.” Aim for more accurate collocations and vary key nouns and verbs. Proofread spelling carefully, and choose expressions that describe housing capacity, urban density and residents’ privacy more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a contrastive opening with “as … but at the same time” and a conditional structure beginning “relying only on building tall apartments … can lead to.” These attempts show some range, but errors in agreement, articles and sentence construction are frequent enough to affect clarity. For example, “High rise buildings takes” has a plural subject with a singular verb, while “constructing tall apartment provides” lacks appropriate plural marking and agreement. The sentence “there are will be dispute always” is difficult to interpret, and the final parking example is incomplete. Practise checking subject–verb agreement, singular and plural forms, and complete sentence boundaries, especially when combining several ideas.
