Student answer (Band 5.0)

Globalization have many sofisticated city and higher amount of population. in these cities providing house to built a tall buildings and apartments instead of giving permission to get own house on seperate territory. in my view, to major extent of i totally disaccord with the notion of build tall apartment since its degrade the socialization.

commencing with the stricking feature of the demerit of this situation wheras it dose not give chance to make bond between neighbours as neighbourhood is the crucial relation considered in our society. Firstly, apartments provide limited space to utilize and demand higher amount of rent in megacity. Secondly, not all the facilities are fullfill in flat such as individual parking slot, very conjusted area for gardening, unexpected texes and all.

Another significant feature is individual have to take burden of complete rent within limited time of period and 50 percent of income is expanded behind rent. furthermore, Family is less comfortable with the less amenities along with children have not enough space to play and lec of safety. having an apartment is the unsecure decision for upcoming life.

To conclude, megacities have plethora of tall appartments and this thing detrimentally impact on citizens. although, it makes people lives less social and snatch the chance of make bond with the neighbours. and i totally disagree with this situation since it gives limited facilities and opportunities of experience a healthy and good life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You take a clear position against the proposal, especially in the introduction and conclusion, and give relevant concerns about rent, facilities, children’s play space, and neighbourly relationships. However, the response addresses the question only partially: it focuses on disadvantages of apartment living rather than assessing whether tall blocks are the best way to provide enough homes compared with alternatives. Several points are asserted but not explained—for example, the claim that rent consumes “50 percent of income” has no context or supporting example. The response is also 14 words below the required minimum. To strengthen the argument, compare high-rise housing with other approaches and develop each reason with a specific explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and the main position is repeated at the end. Some sequencing is signalled by “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Another significant feature.” However, progression within paragraphs is limited: the second body paragraph moves from rent to family comfort and safety without clearly showing how these points connect. Several linking expressions are awkward or do not express the intended relationship, such as “commencing with the stricking feature” and “although” at the start of the conclusion. Repetition of the same ideas about socialising and facilities also weakens development. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each supporting point explicitly to the central argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “neighbourhood,” “amenities,” “megacities,” and “facilities,” and some choices show an effort to express more complex ideas. However, the usable range is limited by frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word choice or collocation, which sometimes make meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “sophisticated city” for developed cities, “unexpected texes,” and “snatch the chance of make bond.” Repeated use of “apartment,” “limited,” and “facilities” also restricts variety. Build accuracy with common housing collocations before reaching for less familiar expressions—for example, “high-rise buildings,” “housing supply,” and “access to amenities”—and proofread spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

There are attempts to use longer structures, such as “since it gives limited facilities” and the clause beginning “although,” but control is weak and many sentences contain errors that make the reader work to understand the meaning. Examples include “Globalization have,” “it dose not give chance,” and “individual have to take burden,” which show problems with agreement, articles, and sentence construction. Some clauses are incomplete or joined inaccurately, particularly “although, it makes people lives less social…” in the conclusion. Sentence patterns are also repetitive, and accurate simple sentences are not sustained consistently. Practise forming complete subject–verb–object sentences, then add subordinate clauses with correct agreement and articles; check each sentence for a clear main clause.
