Student answer (Band 4.5)

Cover the deficiency of homes in big cities is to built high-rise apartment blocks. This is a wonderful idea to cover the large population of the city in some apartments.

First of all, these plan works well and many families easily survive in the largest city without feir of many expansive of living cost. For example my university friend study at punjab university lahore he is a introvert living in a private apartment near the university cost of living expanse is moderate becasue of the building of hostel is very highest and many rooms in the building. There are saveral rooms in these apartment some large rooms and many small rooms in it.My friend living in a room saperately in single bed room the cost of living rooms to much decrease as compare to shortest building which have some large rooms.

On the other hand some university fellows living in a groups at the private hostel and share the rooms each other they lived them. The living cost is to much less as compare to my friend living in saperatly therefore they contribute the money and pay the rent of this apartment room.In my experience recently visit the karachi city and stay for a three days i book a apartment room easily and stay three day and then back to home.

in conclusion, there are a wonderful idea but they have enough money to built a highest apartments.Government invest the money on these project and provide the better living facilities in homes. This is avery helpful for people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address the topic by supporting tall apartment buildings and give examples involving your friend’s accommodation in Lahore and your own stay in Karachi. These details show an attempt to connect the issue with personal experience. However, the response does not fully answer “to what extent” you agree: your position is only briefly stated, and the conclusion introduces a condition about having enough money without explaining how this affects your view. Much of the discussion focuses on rent, room-sharing and hostel costs rather than explaining how high-rise construction can provide enough homes or considering its limitations. State your degree of agreement clearly, then develop two relevant reasons with specific explanation and examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “First of all,” “On the other hand” and “in conclusion” help identify the intended stages. However, the progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves between building height, living costs, room sizes and your friend’s situation without clearly linking these points. The contrast introduced by “On the other hand” is also unclear, since the paragraph continues discussing accommodation costs rather than presenting a distinct opposing view. Some references, such as “they lived them,” make it hard to identify who is doing what. Organise each paragraph around one main point and use clear links between the example and the argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “high-rise apartment blocks,” “living cost,” “private hostel” and “rent,” and you attempt to describe different accommodation arrangements. However, the range is basic and repetitive, and inaccurate word choice or spelling often strains understanding. For example, “cover the deficiency of homes” is an unclear way to describe addressing a housing shortage, while “the building of hostel is very highest” does not communicate the intended comparison naturally. Words such as “expansive,” “saperately” and “saveral” also reduce clarity. Build a more precise set of housing terms and check spelling and collocations; this will help you explain affordability, density and housing supply more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including examples introduced by “For example” and “therefore,” but control is very limited and errors frequently make the meaning difficult to follow. Verb forms and agreement are often inaccurate, as in “these plan works well,” “my university friend study” and “I book a apartment room.” Articles and sentence boundaries are also problematic: “he is a introvert” and the opening sentence runs directly into the next without a space or clear punctuation. Several clauses are joined without a clear grammatical structure, particularly in the description of your friend’s room and its cost. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using controlled clauses, checking tense, subject–verb agreement, articles and punctuation.
