Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some suggest that urban areas should develop constructing more buildings with flat system, so that it can facilitate housing. In my perspective, this can be the best solution for urban sprawl and provide affordable homes.
To begin with, if tall buildings are constructed, a piece of land can house more than 20 families. Additionally, individuals may get to live in the place which they can easily afford. The house rent in the city takes more than half of an average employee's salary and flat system may help them to save money which they can spend on their family. Therefore, development of buildings and flat system is crucial for a commenor to survive.
Futhermore, large apartment buildings can decline urban sprawl. When the crowd in cities significantly rise as people are shifting from rural areas to big city for better education and job opportunities. Consequently, their will be less area to house people who originally belong to city. To overcome the problem, government will expand the area around the city to build new houses this directly affects the village settings. Tall apartment blocks can provide home to many families and their will be no need for city expansion. For instance, Hyderabad is one of the crowdest city were people from all over the India relocate for work and live comfortably as their are tall buildings constructed near to each other.
In conclusion, on of the best solution to provide appropriate homes in urban area is to construct apartments that can help decrease house rents and urban expansion.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you support tall apartment blocks as a way to provide housing, and you address both affordability and urban expansion. The point that one plot could accommodate “more than 20 families” is relevant, while the Hyderabad example helps connect the argument to a real city. However, some ideas are less fully developed than others. The affordability claim that flats “may help them to save money” would be stronger with an explanation of how building more apartments could reduce rents or purchase costs. The discussion of urban expansion is also somewhat unclear about how city growth affects villages. Explain these links more precisely and develop the example to show how high-rise housing addresses the problem.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” make the main stages easy to follow. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and some links between ideas are unclear. For example, “When the crowd in cities significantly rise” begins a dependent clause without completing its relationship to the next sentence, while “Consequently” does not clearly connect the population increase to the claim about less land for existing residents. Use clearer sentence links and pronoun references, and make each paragraph’s reasoning progress step by step rather than relying mainly on signposting phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “urban sprawl,” “apartment buildings,” “housing,” and “job opportunities.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “village settings” and “relocate.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning less natural. “Flat system” is unclear, “decline urban sprawl” is not the usual expression, and “crowdest city” is an incorrect form. Spelling errors such as “Futhermore” and “commenor” also affect accuracy. Build a bank of natural housing and urban-planning collocations, and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional phrasing (“if tall buildings are constructed”) and a relative clause (“the place which they can easily afford”). The overall meaning is generally understandable, but errors in sentence structure and agreement recur. For example, “When the crowd in cities significantly rise” is an incomplete clause, and “their will be less area” has an incorrect subject form and agreement. In “people … are shifting … for better education,” the tense and sentence connection are also awkward. Review subject–verb agreement, complete clause construction, and the use of “there” in existential sentences. More accurate control of these patterns would make your complex ideas easier to follow.
