Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this rapidly changing world, to build a tall apartments blocks to reach needs of every citizens of the particular country has became a matter of considerable debate. While some people believe that to provide every person a home to stay, construting tall apartment blocks is the besty option. Although, others argue that tall apartments are not benefical for this issue, consiquently it takes lots of amount to build such apartments.

I strongly agree with the first view rather then the latter one, such high-rise buildings maximize limited urban space and provide efficient infrastructure. Firstly, land in metropolitan cities is extremely expensive for most of the acerage income families can't afford single living landes whose rates are at sky-rocket in this day and age. For instance, cities like mumbai where the price of land is almost 5 times the earning of 2 average earning family heads, beacuse of which the appartment is the best option for to stay happily without any burden of high rates.

Secondly, people with different cultures of the particular country stays in such cites appartments, where they can built good relation with thier neighbours and share and know about each others culture. In addition, they can guide each others appartments when one of them is not present. Meanwhile, when population is concentrated in appartmnet complexes, providing electricity, water, waste managment, and public transportation becomes centraslized and cost-effective.

In conclusion, while high-density living have some challenges, building tall apartmewnt is apperently the most effective solution to meet the massive housing demands in modern cities, by saving precious land and resources

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

Your position is clear: you strongly support tall apartment blocks, and the response addresses the housing question with relevant reasons. You explain that high-rise buildings use scarce urban land efficiently and can make services such as water, electricity and transport more cost-effective. The Mumbai example also attempts to illustrate the pressure of land prices. These points are extended enough to support your view, although the example’s comparison is difficult to interpret and would be more convincing with a clear, accurate statistic or a specific explanation. The point about neighbours sharing cultures and helping one another is relevant but less directly connected to providing enough homes. Develop this link, and acknowledge a specific challenge before explaining why the benefits outweigh it, to make the argument more fully supported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall shape: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting reasons, and a conclusion that restates your position. Sequencing is generally easy to follow, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In addition” help readers identify the main points. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent overall organisation, while the clear progression and paragraphing show some features of stronger control. However, connections are occasionally mechanical or unclear. “Although” begins a fragment-like contrast in the introduction, and “Meanwhile” does not clearly show how the service point relates to the preceding discussion of neighbours. The conclusion also compresses several ideas into one sentence. Use more precise links between claims and examples, and make each paragraph’s central argument explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “metropolitan cities,” “high-rise buildings,” “urban space,” “public transportation,” and “cost-effective.” These choices show an attempt to discuss housing and city infrastructure rather than relying entirely on basic terms. However, the range is limited by frequent spelling errors and inaccurate or unnatural word combinations, which sometimes make the reader pause: “acerage income families,” “rates are at sky-rocket,” and “guide each others appartments” are difficult to interpret. Several words are also repeated, particularly “apartments” and “people.” Aim to learn accurate collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, describe families as “average-income households” and say land prices “have skyrocketed.” More precise vocabulary would make your ideas clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of sentence forms, including complex clauses with “while,” “where,” and “when,” and the main argument is usually understandable. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to cause difficulty in places. For example, “to build a tall apartments blocks” has problems with the infinitive construction and number agreement, while “has became” uses an incorrect verb form. In “people … stays,” the subject and verb do not agree, and “Although, others argue” is not a complete, correctly punctuated contrast. Articles, plurals and sentence boundaries also need attention. Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses; check subject–verb agreement and verb forms before adding more complexity.
