Student answer (Band 4.5)

Now-a-days many individuals are want to live in their privacy and homes needs more enough place rather than apartment in larger cities i agree with this statement in my opinion apartment have more benefits in larger cities.

Because my individuals prefer for houses due to more privacy and tranquil areas but in apartment blocks have more crowd people have plenty of family at the same place, but in cities have enough places for houses so people want to live in apartment blocks due to their comfortable and necessitates

For instance a 10 floor buliding gives 9 familys accommodation

Moreover due to appartment their was many benifits and drawbacks, appartment having necessitates at same place in cities such as public service like hospital, school, bus stops, etc

So some individuals want to stay in appartments rather then houses

Furthermore their was many drawbacks live in appartment rather then houses their many crowd areas and more sounds and noise due to traffic even in nights more pressure and busy lifestyle many people have their busy lifestyle due their works there don't have time to spend their family apartment blocks makes more u attachment from they familys and also having water issue in appartments ,having appartment is best thing in life but compare to houses more drawbacks

All things considered i believe that many individuals have their privacy and comfortable appartment block can helps provide enough place housing in larger cities

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a general position in favour of apartment blocks, and you include relevant points such as accommodating several families in one building and having services like hospitals, schools and bus stops nearby. However, the position is not consistently clear: the opening says people prefer houses for privacy, while later you support apartments without clearly resolving this contrast. The discussion of drawbacks—crowding, noise and water problems—also needs clearer explanation and examples, and the “10 floor building” example is not developed. The response is 13 words below the required minimum, which further limits the space available to address the question fully. Develop a clear extent of agreement and explain how high-rise housing compares with other ways of providing homes.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is an attempt to organise the response into an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore” and “All things considered” show an effort to guide the reader. However, the progression is difficult to follow because ideas within paragraphs are often joined in long, loosely connected sequences. For example, the paragraph beginning “Furthermore” moves from crowding and noise to work pressures, family time and water issues without clear links or separation. The contrast between preferring houses and supporting apartments is also not signposted clearly. Use one main idea per paragraph, connect each reason to the question, and make references such as “their” and “they” unambiguous.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “privacy,” “accommodation,” “public service,” “crowd” and “busy lifestyle,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is basic and repetitive, with “apartment” and “people” appearing frequently, and several word choices or spellings make meaning less clear. Examples include “more enough place,” “necessitates,” “u attachment” and “buliding.” Some combinations are not natural in this context, such as “plenty of family at the same place.” Build a more precise set of housing terms and check spelling and collocation. For instance, describe the benefits as “access to essential services” and the disadvantages as “overcrowding” or “noise pollution.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to use both simple and longer sentence forms, but control is limited and errors frequently make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. The opening, “many individuals are want to live,” combines incompatible verb forms, while “apartment blocks makes” has a subject–verb agreement error. Articles, plurals and sentence boundaries are also often inaccurate; for example, “a 10 floor buliding gives 9 familys accommodation” needs clearer grammatical phrasing and punctuation. Several sentences run together, particularly the paragraph beginning “Furthermore,” which makes the argument hard to follow. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then join related ideas with correctly formed clauses and consistent punctuation.
