Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, the good way to organise more houses in large cities is to build tall apartment blocks. Although i am agree with this statement because save green spaces and many facilities nearly.

One of the main point for my approval to this statement is save green spaces. This is due to fact that the people live in tall apartments is good way to protect a greenery forests and freely grounds for taking fresh oxygen by people and to maintain a good health. In one appartment 100+ families should live. For example, government provide maximum number private houses by cutting the forests, cut the trees and broke the animals houses also freely place like play ground for children converted into colonies it effect on peoples health and children physical activities.

One more major point for my agreement to this statement is easy to occupy facilities. This is means, people should invest money into gyms, super market and accesories shops nearly the big appartments, people go for work and part time jobs they do not have a more time to go into cities for buy. Moreover, in evening people prefer for going to walk after the dinner and they brought a all neccesary things for daily need without using the car. As the result, it is more easy to occupy all important things with savege of time.

To conclude, in present time live in appartment is good idea for people to save a greenery places and it is more benifical for a future generations.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You take a position in favour of apartment blocks and give two relevant reasons: preserving green space and making facilities more accessible. The examples about forests being cleared for houses and residents buying daily necessities nearby help connect your ideas to the topic. However, the reasons are only partly developed: the first paragraph’s point about health and children’s activity is difficult to follow, while the facilities paragraph does not explain how this approach would provide enough homes compared with alternatives. The conclusion repeats the benefits rather than drawing the argument together. The response is also 243 words, below the required 250; the nine words copied from the prompt are not counted. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation or specific example, and meet the minimum length.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic route through your argument, and phrases such as “One of the main point” and “One more major point” signal the paragraph topics. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, particularly where the first body paragraph moves from apartment living to forests, animal habitats, playgrounds, and health without clearly linking each point. Connectors such as “Moreover” and “As the result” are used, but the relationships between some sentences remain unclear. Use a clearer topic sentence, then explain and illustrate one main idea at a time, with pronouns and linking phrases that make the connections explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “green spaces,” “facilities,” “forests,” and “physical activities,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There are also attempts to express more specific concepts, such as access to shops and the effect of housing on the environment. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear, including “organise more houses,” “occupy facilities,” and “save a greenery places.” Spelling errors such as “appartment,” “accesories,” and “neccesary” are noticeable, and some wording is repeated. Build a bank of accurate housing and urban-planning phrases, and check spelling and collocations so your ideas are easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt some longer sentences and use subordinate clauses, for example, “This is due to fact that…” and “Although i am agree with this statement because…”. However, these complex attempts are often faulty, and many sentences contain errors that make the relationships between ideas hard to follow. Examples include “i am agree,” “people live in tall apartments is good way,” and “government provide,” which show problems with verb forms, sentence structure, and subject–verb agreement. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “a good health” and “100+ families should live.” Most sentences need more reliable control. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using clauses such as “because” and “which”; also check capitalisation and punctuation.
