Student answer (Band 5.0)
The finest method to solve the issue of less houses in cities is to construct the large numbers of apartment blocks.I totally agree with this statement because the population of world is going up day by day and also advancement in technology most of the lands are using for commercial use. With the help of inversters they start making markets. In the past when the num of people was less.People made their houses very wide.I think it is very helpfull to built the apartments because it accupy less space then a house. In the same land as house in wich maximum 10 to 15 people are able to live apartments sport the hundreds of people. Also living in a apartment it is easy to keep it clean. The houses has also some benefits like the main factor is privacy. In a house you have your personal gym, garden and swimming pool that is not availabe in any apartment unfortunatly. But i think it is not a big deal. The large number of people have even no time to do these type of activites.People of today mostly perfer apartment in the cities due they are living alone mostly.Because their families are living in villages or in their hometowns. They are living their to meet their family expenses thats are not possible in their own side. So,they have tp clean and lookafter if they have personal house but in apartments it does not require because they proper security for persons saticfication.
So if I conclude the making tall apartments is very helpfull to slove the people problems and as well as the problem of land due to less expensive for individuals and also a businuss for businessmans

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you strongly agree that tall apartment blocks are an effective response to housing shortages. You give relevant reasons, especially that apartments accommodate more people on the same land and are easier to maintain, and you acknowledge a counterpoint about houses offering privacy and amenities. However, the response addresses the issue only partially because several claims are asserted rather than explained or supported. For example, the discussion of people living away from their families and meeting expenses is difficult to connect clearly to why high-rise construction is the best solution. Develop the central land-use argument with a specific example, and explain why alternatives such as building outward would be less effective. This would make your position more fully supported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is an identifiable line of thought: you introduce agreement, discuss space-saving and convenience, consider the advantages of houses, and conclude in favour of apartments. However, the response is presented as one long paragraph, so the main points are not clearly separated. Connections between ideas are also sometimes abrupt: the shift from privacy to people living alone, then to families in villages, is not sufficiently explained. Linking phrases such as “also,” “because,” and “so” recur, and some do not show the precise relationship between the ideas. Use separate paragraphs for your position and reasons, the counterargument, and the conclusion. Within each paragraph, make the link between each claim and its explanation explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “population,” “commercial use,” “privacy,” and “security,” and you attempt to express ideas about density and land use. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “less houses,” “apartments sport the hundreds of people,” and “for persons saticfication” do not communicate your intended points naturally. Spelling errors such as “inversters,” “helpfull,” and “availabe” are also noticeable. Build a more precise set of phrases for housing and urban planning, and check spelling and collocations. More accurate wording would help your relevant ideas come across clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons, such as the opening sentence beginning “I totally agree” and the explanation about land being used commercially. However, the range is limited, and attempts to combine several ideas often produce faulty sentence structures. Examples include “In the past when the num of people was less” as a fragment, “The houses has” with incorrect subject–verb agreement, and “they are living their to meet their family expenses” with unclear tense and sentence construction. Articles, plurals, and punctuation also need attention; for example, “in a apartment” and the missing spaces after full stops affect accuracy and readability. Practise complete sentences and check agreement and articles before adding more complex clauses.
