in many large coties there is shortage of houses due to overpopolation it is often argue that most effeted solution is to construct hight rises apartments buildings i largely agree with the statement althogh i belive other people view should also be considered
on other hand building tall apartmets is arguably is the most practical way to provide accomodation to large number of population lands in major city like newyork london or in sout asia like karachi mumbai are extremly scares and expensive by bulding verticallya single plot of land can provides home for hundred of families insted of just a few this is far more efficient than building low rises houses which consume alot of land furture more high denaity living can be more sustainable its allow for better public tranposrt links and reduce the need for longcommutes which can lower pollution and traffic congation
on other hand relling sololey on tall building has some drawbacks may peole find life less desirable in long flats lack of privacy out door space and sence of community fakilies with childrens alwas prefer huses with gardens if cityies only build aprtments it may reduce the qualitu of life therefore orher aolution should be part of stretegy for instence goveent shuold decelope settelitie towns or new towns outside the cities improce trasport connections renovate old and abbeondends buildings in adityion controlling pipulation growth in large citire by deceloping job opprtunitie s in smallers town will reduce the preauure on housing
in conclusion while conturting tall apartments is most efficiwnt way to housing crisis a combination of vartical development and carefull irban planning shoud be the best way to provide sufficient and high quality homea

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you largely agree that tall apartment buildings are the most practical response, while arguing that they should be combined with other measures. You support the main point with relevant reasoning about scarce, expensive land, housing capacity, transport links and pollution, and you address drawbacks such as privacy and community life. This covers both the advantages and limitations of the proposal. Some points, however, are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the preference of families for houses with gardens could be linked more clearly to why this limits high-rise construction. The suggestions about satellite towns, renovation and distributing jobs are relevant, but would benefit from one concrete example or fuller explanation to make the overall argument more developed and precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting high-rise housing, a paragraph considering drawbacks and alternatives, and a conclusion that restates your position. This gives the reader a coherent route through your argument. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, particularly through repeated use of “on other hand,” and the second body paragraph moves quickly from quality-of-life concerns to several planning proposals. Some links between ideas are therefore not fully clear. Use a wider range of transitions and make the relationship between each proposal and the housing shortage explicit. Clearer sentence boundaries and paragraph-level progression would also help the reader follow the argument without having to infer connections.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to urban housing and planning, including “high density living,” “public transport links,” “long commutes,” “pollution,” and “urban planning.” These choices show an effort to discuss the topic beyond basic terms. However, spelling errors are very frequent, and several word forms or collocations are inaccurate, such as “shortage of houses,” “lands … are extremely scarce,” and “provide accommodation to large number of population.” These problems sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to process. Build accuracy by checking spelling carefully and learning common topic collocations as complete phrases, such as “a shortage of housing,” “scarce land,” and “accommodate a large population.” Aim for precise, natural wording rather than adding more ambitious vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex structures, including a contrast introduced by “although” and a conditional idea in “if cities only build apartments.” This shows an effort to vary sentence forms. However, control is limited: errors in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, articles and punctuation occur throughout. For example, “a single plot of land can provides home” has an incorrect verb form and missing article, while “high density living … its allow” has an unclear subject and faulty agreement. Several long stretches lack full stops, making sentence boundaries difficult to identify. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine related ideas with accurate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, verb forms and punctuation during revision.
