Student answer (Band 4.5)

It is true that this time everyone wnat their own apartment and in this easy we discuss about provides enough home in big cities to build a tall apartment block but this have advantages and disadvantages and we discuss both sides arguments and conclude my personal opinion in the end with some relevant examples of my knowledge.

To begin with this way of providing enough homes in big cities to build tall apartment blocks however its have benifits for plethora of people those should buy this and live with their family but it look good in limits when apartment become nore tall they get a high risk to fall on the road or Street in addition many people got died thus becomes very risky for everyone and this is become a huge disadvantage of this statment and in big cities have many places to make more apartments for live furthermore Indian rules are also said that only four floor is aloud to make or with measurement if you make fifth one that's mean you maintain your floor height according to the rules.

On the other side I am also in favour of this statment because some examples infront of my time generation these kind of accident become common that's the reason government became strict in thes rules because everyone don't understand they play with other lives and some people buy it for see the low price but they forget their life risk their children, family risk however these things become with high taxes or charges if anyone try to do that.

To recapitulate considering all view on this point with advantage and disadvantage on this topic with my personal opinion with examples of real life time in my generation i saw many time in social media.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response recognises the topic and attempts to discuss advantages and disadvantages, but it does not clearly answer the extent to which you agree or disagree. The opening promises both sides and a personal opinion, while the conclusion says only that you have considered different views; neither states a definite position on whether tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide homes. The discussion also shifts towards building safety rules and accidents, rather than comparing this approach with other ways to increase housing. The points about risk and affordability are relevant, but their connection to the question is unclear and they are not supported with specific, explained examples. To improve, state your position directly and develop two relevant reasons that address the effectiveness of high-rise housing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is an attempt to organise the response into an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “To begin with” and “On the other side” signal a change in direction. However, progression is difficult to follow because several ideas are combined in long sentences, and the relationship between them is often unclear. For example, the first body paragraph moves from benefits to collapse risks, then to available land and Indian floor regulations without explaining how these points connect. The second paragraph repeats concerns about accidents and rules rather than developing a distinct argument. The conclusion is present but does not summarise a clear position. Use one main idea per paragraph, explain its link to the question, and use referencing and transitions more precisely.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “apartment blocks,” “high risk,” “government,” and “taxes or charges,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is basic and several inaccurate or repetitive expressions make meaning difficult to interpret. Phrases such as “this time everyone wnat their own apartment,” “in this easy,” and “real life time in my generation” do not communicate the intended ideas naturally. There are also frequent spelling and word-form problems, including “benifits,” “nore,” “statment,” and “aloud.” Aim for precise housing vocabulary and check spelling carefully. For example, distinguish “affordable housing” from “low prices,” and use “building regulations” when discussing limits on the number of floors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts some longer sentences and uses basic linking structures, but grammatical control is inconsistent, and errors often make the intended meaning hard to follow. Examples include “this have advantages,” “its have benifits,” and “many people got died,” which show problems with agreement and verb forms. Sentence boundaries are also difficult to manage: the opening and first body paragraph contain several clauses joined without clear punctuation, while “in big cities have many places” lacks a clear subject. Articles, plurals and prepositions are also unreliable. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine related ideas using controlled clauses. For instance, write “Tall blocks can house many families, but they must comply with safety regulations” rather than joining several separate points in one sentence.
