Student answer (Band 4.5)

Yes in this modern age of revolutions i completely agree with this to build the taller buildings in larger cities .there is no much efficient alternative for this situation . It saves the agricultural land also it makes the cities more civilised in their cloning. it is the best decision to overcome the problem of less land reserve in larger cities There are many more examples like that in . In developed countries we find more taller buildings the over populated cities adjust there population in flats of these taller buildings .It has many benifits such as any public notice will be seen by all people in the same building so i completly agree with this strategy to make the citias more civilised. Also the security point is covered in one hand .the people can not harm oneanther property because they luve to gether as home mate the one thing which is most important is that the water and severage connections are leser the resorces such as concretet bricks and all will be use as necessary all the population of a same building try to do their best together . It is the most important step to over come the land problems and to protect the agricultural lands. we can see the tallest buildings in the karachi the city of pakistan .and also the most important talest building is Burj khlifa which is situated in dubai .the most attractive country world we can reduce the expenditure of construction materials as well the land consumption by implementing this role. the taller buildings looks beautiful and also attractive

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you strongly agree that tall apartment blocks are the best way to provide homes in large cities. You give relevant reasons, including conserving agricultural land, accommodating more residents and reducing land and construction-material use, and you refer to Karachi and the Burj Khalifa. However, the response addresses the task only partially because these points are mostly asserted rather than explained with specific examples or evidence. The claim that residents will cooperate or that security is improved, for instance, needs a clearer explanation of how this follows from living in a tall building. Develop two or three main reasons in depth and acknowledge a limitation or alternative to make your argument more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

The response stays focused on your agreement and includes several related supporting points, but the ideas are not arranged into a clear progression. It is presented as one long paragraph, so the reader cannot easily distinguish the introduction, separate reasons and conclusion. Linking words such as “also” and “the most important” recur, while some transitions—such as moving from public notices to security and then water connections—do not show how the points relate. The sentence beginning “There are many more examples like that in” is also left incomplete. Use distinct paragraphs for your position, each main reason and the conclusion, and connect each point with precise references and transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to urban housing, including “agricultural land,” “over populated cities,” “security,” “resources” and “construction materials.” These choices show an effort to discuss more than the basic idea of building homes. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “civilised in their cloning,” “severage connections” and “expenditure of construction materials.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “less land reserve” and “the most attractive country world.” Choose accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for density, infrastructure and land use would help you express your reasons clearly and avoid repeating “taller buildings” and “important.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You communicate a consistent opinion, and there are attempts to combine ideas using clauses, for example, “It saves the agricultural land also it makes the cities…” However, sentence structures are mostly simple or joined without correct punctuation, and errors frequently make relationships between ideas unclear. The opening has a run-on sentence, while “the people can not harm oneanther property because they luve to gether as home mate” contains unclear clause construction. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “the taller buildings looks beautiful.” Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then add controlled complex structures with conjunctions such as “because” and “which.” Review capitalization and full stops as well.
