Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that the best way to provide enough homes in large cities is to built tall apartment blocks.I personally agree with this statment.
In this way we provide enough shelters to people and make enough space.
There are so many reasons to agree with this but the most important is we have enough space for making industries and factories that are required for the growth of today's modren society. We know mostly people from rural areas are moving and migrating to the urban area for better health and education opportunities and also job offers.Conseguently it is difficult to build a separate home for everyone and also the urban areas are already congested.
To deal with this situation government have to build apartments.
The most remarkable benefit of doing so is that the most people not to stick one place they can move whenever they want easily. They can rent apartment near their officies and they also save money of fuel and transportation.
In instance:The government of canada build so many apartments in their urban area and provide homes to so many people and also build a new building for officies and news shops. In this way they save space and also utilize it in a profitable way.
Other advantage is people have not to buy land and then build home on it.It is very time consuming process. They just buy there already built apartment and move in it.
In conclusion, this apartment method is very helpful and benefical.People have better view from their homes and get better location whatever they want.Thats are the reasons why i agree with this.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the opening: “I personally agree,” and the response stays focused on housing in large cities. You give relevant reasons, including accommodating urban migration, reducing pressure on crowded areas, and avoiding the need for each resident to buy land. The Canada example also attempts to illustrate how apartments can use space efficiently. However, some points are asserted rather than explained: the link between apartment blocks and making space for industries is unclear, and the benefits of renting near work could be developed with a more specific explanation. The example is broad and lacks detail. To strengthen the response, explain how each reason directly supports tall blocks as the best solution and develop the example more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an identifiable structure: an introduction, several supporting points, an example, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow your overall agreement. However, progression between ideas is not consistently clear. For example, the move from making space for industries to people moving from rural areas is abrupt, and “In this way” is used without always making the connection precise. The body also reads as a sequence of separate claims rather than paragraphs organised around distinct main ideas. Use clearer topic sentences and group related benefits together. More accurate referencing and a wider range of linking expressions would make the relationships between claims and examples easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “congested,” “urban areas,” “transportation,” and “profitable,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, such as “enough shelters” for homes, “stick one place,” and “save money of fuel.” Spelling errors, including “statment,” “modren,” and “benefical,” also reduce accuracy. Some expressions are repeated, particularly “enough” and “build.” Aim to use more precise housing and urban-planning vocabulary, and check spelling and natural word combinations. This would make your ideas clearer and more appropriate for an academic essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the main position and reasons are usually understandable. However, control of sentence structure and basic grammar is inconsistent. Examples include “the best way … is to built,” “government have to build,” and “people have not to buy,” which show problems with verb forms, agreement, and sentence patterns. Articles and possessives also need attention, as in “buy there already built apartment.” Several sentences run together without appropriate punctuation, such as the opening and the sentence beginning “There are so many reasons.” Practise forming accurate complex sentences and check each sentence for a clear subject, correctly formed verb, and appropriate punctuation.
