Student answer (Band 5.0)
In todays modern world, most of the people think that in cities numerous floor of apartment is a good way to provide space for individuals. I partly agree with this view.
On the one hand, one main reason why citizens consider that tall buildings is essential. Firstly they reckon that in citiy there is not enough land to build new homes therefore it is a best option to upgrade the homes. Aditionally they believe if we do not do that then most of the persons are not prefer to live in cities. For instance, people live in citiy due to convenient things like hospitals, education or jobs opportunity, but if they do not have home in state and in night they go countryside for staying so that is not suitable for them so that is why in present days large cities are build big houses.
On the other hand, although it has some positive impact on daily life, however it aslo have several drwbacks. Like tall flats are harmfull for ecosystem if we build that then it is bad for land. Furtheremore, it is not safe for folks if you live in rental appartment and the outside structure is stunning but internal structure is not safe consequentlly in future that is dangerous to live in that building. Moreover, that is why tall flats or homes are not a good option because life is more crucial, rather then liveing in citie.
In contrast, eventhough best way to provide homes in cities is big houses but this has many disadvantages such as dreadfull for both envirenment or citizens.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a relevant response and state a position—“I partly agree”—then present reasons both for and against tall apartment buildings. The points about limited land and access to city services relate to the question, while concerns about environmental effects and building safety provide a counterargument. However, the position is not sustained clearly: the final paragraph calls large buildings the “best way” but then emphasises their disadvantages, leaving your overall view uncertain. Several ideas are also under-developed. For example, the claim that tall flats harm the ecosystem is not explained, and the safety example is difficult to follow. Make your degree of agreement consistent and explain each main reason with a clear, specific example or consequence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
Your response has an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a conclusion, so the reader can recognise an attempt to organise the discussion. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” signal the change in viewpoint. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and several linking expressions are repetitive or used inaccurately. The first body paragraph moves from land shortages to people’s access to services and then to staying in the countryside without clearly connecting these points. In the second, “although” and “however” are used together, and “Moreover, that is why” creates an unclear link. The conclusion also begins “In contrast” without establishing what it contrasts with. Use fewer, more precise connectors and arrange each paragraph around one developed central idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to housing and urban life, including “ecosystem,” “rental apartment,” “outside structure” and “convenient,” and the reader can generally identify your topic. However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to interpret. For instance, “numerous floor of apartment” does not express the idea of high-rise housing naturally, and “upgrade the homes” is unclear in this context. There are also frequent spelling errors, such as “citiy,” “Aditionally,” “harmfull” and “envirenment,” which reduce accuracy. Build a bank of topic-specific collocations and check spelling carefully; choose precise terms such as “high-rise apartment blocks,” “housing supply” and “urban land.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “if,” “although” and “because,” and your main topic is usually understandable. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence construction occur frequently. Examples include “tall buildings is essential,” “it aslo have several drawbacks,” and “most of the persons are not prefer to live.” Some sentences combine too many ideas without clear grammatical boundaries, particularly the example beginning “For instance, people live in citiy due to convenient things.” Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and shorter sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check articles and plurals, and use punctuation to separate complete ideas.
