Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, storage of housing has become a big problem in large cities because of population growth. However, some people believe that constructing a tall apartment blocks is best way to provide enough homes. I largly agree with this view because due to highly increasing rate of government registery papers and also increasing the population growth, so that high buildings apartment have lives in limited spaces.

One of the main advantages of building tall apartment blocks is that they can live a large number of people in a closely small area. In major cities, land and plots are often expensive and limited, making it difficult to construct individual houses for every family so the intergenerational living adjust the tall building apartment. By building multi-stories residential complexes, governments and private developers can provide homes for hundreds of families without occupying excessive amounts of land without visit again and again registery office. Now government introduce the green card if you have not green card you do not name your piece of land. Furthermore, these buildings can be constructed near workplaces, schools and public transport facilities, allowing residents to save time and money on commuting.

However, on the other hand relying entirely on high-rise buildings may create certain problems. If a large number of people live in one area without public services such as roads, hospitals and schools may become overcrowded. In addition, constructing and maintaining tall buildings can be costly, and not everyone can afford to purchase or rent an apartment. Therefore, government should also consider developing affordable housing projects in noisy areas and improving transport connections between these areas.

In the cdonclusion, tall apartment blocks provides the wide space who the whole familt lives there.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You take a position in favour of tall apartment blocks and give relevant reasons, especially the efficient use of limited urban land and proximity to workplaces, schools and transport. You also acknowledge drawbacks, including pressure on public services and affordability, so the response addresses both the proposal and its limitations. However, the position is not consistently explained: the opening reference to “government registery papers” and the green-card example is difficult to connect to the housing argument, while the conclusion (“tall apartment blocks provides the wide space…”) does not clearly restate your view. Develop the central reasons with clearer examples and explain how your suggested alternatives support your overall position; some ideas are currently under-developed or unclear.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting high-rise housing, a paragraph considering disadvantages, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “However,” and “In addition” help signal the direction of the discussion. At times, though, connections between ideas are unclear or mechanical. For example, the discussion moves from limited land to “intergenerational living,” then to visiting a registry office and a green card, without showing how these points relate. “However, on the other hand” also combines two contrasting signals unnecessarily. Make each paragraph follow one clear line of reasoning, use pronouns and references with clear antecedents, and ensure the conclusion follows logically from the arguments.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to urban housing, including “multi-stories residential complexes,” “overcrowded,” “affordable housing projects,” and “transport connections.” This gives you some topic-specific language, but the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, collocation, or spelling errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “storage of housing” for the housing problem, “closely small area,” “government registery papers,” and “noisy areas.” Some phrases, such as “without visit again and again registery office,” do not communicate a clear meaning in context. Focus on accurate, natural collocations and check spelling and word forms. Replacing unclear expressions with straightforward terms such as “housing shortage” or “limited urban space” would make your argument more precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure (“If a large number of people live in one area…”) and a relative clause (“making it difficult to construct individual houses…”). However, complex attempts are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. For example, “I largly agree… because due to… so that…” has an unclear sentence structure, while “a tall apartment blocks is” has problems with articles, number, and agreement. The final sentence also has agreement and clause-structure errors: “tall apartment blocks provides the wide space who the whole familt lives there.” Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then check subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals, and punctuation.
