Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, a susbtantial number of citizens believe that building tall apartment blocks will help people to get their homes in big cities. I disagree with this, although it will solve the issue for having a home but it also comes with certain drawbacks. i will justify my statement in the essay along relevant examples.
To begin with, there is no doubt that manufacturing apartments vertically will provide enough homes in large cities while it will ended up with various drawbacks. Firstly, manufacturing homes at 90 degree might be reduced the size of each house and as a result this will be causes insufficient place for big families. Due to lower space the crossing of air might be decreased and suffocation will be takes place. Moreover, the resdentials of that tall building might be share a garden area. In this case, some people wants silence in morning time while children makes noise and kept running in the garden, this will cause an issue for people of not having privacy.
Beyond this, creating such long buildings may have the fear of fallen in landslidings or other harsh weather conditions. For instance, few year ago in japan, there was a harsh landslide due to which many buildings fallen down and many people died. Additionally, sharing a building can also causes the trouble in parking area. Because in the cities everyone have a car and there could be less area for parking which will enhance the stress of citizens living there.
To sum up, although tall homes gives space to everyoe but it comes with diiferent problems such as low space, parking issue, and fear of building fell down. Therefore, government ought to be issue a law of not creating such tall buildings and also provide open space to people for live.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you disagree with tall apartment blocks, while acknowledging that they can provide homes. You give several relevant reasons, including limited space for families, noise and privacy concerns, parking pressure, and risks from severe weather. The example of buildings falling during a landslide is intended to support your safety point, though it needs clearer detail and a more direct link to tall apartment blocks. Some ideas are less fully explained: for example, the claim that vertical construction reduces each home’s size would be stronger with a comparison or a specific illustration. Your conclusion also recommends that governments prohibit tall buildings, a stronger position than the essay’s reasoning fully establishes. Develop and qualify the main points more carefully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The progression from space and privacy concerns to safety and parking is generally easy to follow, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “To sum up” help guide the reader. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening of the second body paragraph, “Beyond this,” does not precisely show how the new safety point relates to the previous discussion, and “while it will ended up with various drawbacks” makes the central contrast difficult to follow. Some sentences also combine several claims without clear links. Use more precise transitions and organise each paragraph around one main reason, followed by explanation and evidence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “suffocation,” “privacy,” “landslide,” and “parking area,” and the reader can generally understand your concerns. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “manufacturing apartments vertically,” “crossing of air,” and “fear of fallen in landslidings” do not express the intended ideas naturally. There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “susbtantial,” “resdentials,” “diiferent,” and “everyoe.” Some expressions are vague, including “harsh weather conditions” and “an issue.” Build a more reliable set of phrases for housing and urban planning, and check spelling and collocations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “although,” “while,” and “which,” so there is some structural variety. However, many sentences contain errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, or sentence construction. For example, “it will ended up” should use a consistent future form, and “this will be causes” has an incorrect verb pattern. In “some people wants silence,” the subject and verb do not agree; “children makes noise” has the same issue. The final sentence, “government ought to be issue a law,” also has an incorrect modal construction. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise accurate clause patterns and check subject–verb agreement and verb forms when editing.
