Student answer (Band 5.0)
The greater way to facilitate people by homes in huge cities is to create a large apartment blocks
I strongly agree with the statment that its very neccesory to build a tall apartments instead of small houses because the population rate is increasing day by day and there is not enough space for people to live .At that situation tall apartments plays a very signifcant role .
In big cities rate of population is very high ;one of the main reason is large amount pf individual moving from urban areas to rural ones howerver everyone wants to live a good life and in villiages there is no proper facilities are present like cities so if these people are moving on this rate thats very difficult to survive in cities
I believe that larger cities has to bulid tall portion for people to live easily .Like this in each apartment 15 to 17 families easily stay.
for intance in karachi .moslty appartments are present rather than small houses because karachi;s popution is very high. people also has choices to choose which portion they want like first floor or 7th floor etc
On the other hand if we talk about effects of this is also exist people face the problem of deficieny of vitamin D and the asthma as well because there is no space of sunlight to come and if some one is ill and he live in last floor he is noy able to come downstairs easily beacuse many apartments are liftless.
I Think that its a good way to provide houses in larger cities to make a apartment like not too small or not to big

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you strongly agree that tall apartment buildings can help house people in crowded cities. You give relevant reasons, including limited space and Karachi’s high population, and you also acknowledge drawbacks such as reduced sunlight and difficulty for residents when lifts are unavailable. However, the response only partly develops the task. The claim that 15 to 17 families can live in one apartment is unclear, and the Karachi example is asserted rather than explained. The disadvantages are introduced but not weighed against your main argument, so the extent of your agreement is not fully explored. Develop each reason with a clear explanation or specific example, and conclude by directly summarising why the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: the response moves from your position to population pressure, gives a Karachi example, and then considers disadvantages before ending with a recommendation. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these points. However, the progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow, and links between ideas are sometimes unclear. For example, the discussion of people moving from urban areas to rural ones conflicts with the point that people are moving into cities, making the argument hard to track. Connectors such as “On the other hand” signal a contrast, but the final paragraph does not clearly resolve it. Use one main idea per paragraph, order supporting details logically, and make references and transitions precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “population,” “facilities,” “sunlight,” and “vitamin D,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning less clear, such as “facilitate people by homes,” “tall portion,” and “the rate of population.” Spelling errors, including “statment,” “neccesory,” and “popution,” are also frequent enough to distract the reader. Aim for accurate, natural phrases such as “provide housing,” “high-rise apartment buildings,” and “population growth.” Proofread carefully, and learn vocabulary in phrases rather than translating individual words, so your ideas sound more precise and fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional idea about residents on upper floors and a sentence beginning “because the population rate is increasing.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries make some points difficult to follow. For example, “tall apartments plays” has subject–verb disagreement, while “there is no proper facilities are present” combines incompatible structures. Punctuation and capitalisation are also inconsistent, particularly where sentences run together. Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then join them with one clear conjunction. Check singular and plural subjects, articles, and full stops during revision.
